can you do the peak without staying at the hut overnight?

Hey mate, in theory yes, but we were walking for 24 hours total up and down again, 12 hours each day, so it would be a bit of an ultra hike to do without stopping

I climbed the Triglav twice. First time I was 9 years old, second time I was 12. Must be 1970 and 1972 or 73.

Hi there, do you know if anyone runs organised coasteering trips in Howth?
@rdelavarre3 жыл бұрын
Cool. Where are you guys from? I'll be climbing it solo in August. Can't wait. As a native AUstrian who has climbed all the major peaks, you guys should check out the Austrian Alps. They have mountains huts along the way where you can spend the night. Thanks so much for this posting. I loved it.
@lagjetacoustic3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, we're from Ireland! My brother with the long hair has done a lot of the Austrian Alps, he really enjoyed them too! Glad you enjoyed the video, Happy hiking!
@rdelavarre3 жыл бұрын
@@lagjetacoustic Very cool. The Grossglockner, Austria's highest was my favorite climb. Almost fell in a crevasse, then almost slid off the side of the mountain on the last 50 meters! You learn from your mistakes. Next mountain after Triglav.....Matterhorn, if I can get over there from Vienna, and if the weather is good. Cheers

hey Luke, great video, just wondering how much was the hut you stayed in and was there a via ferrata along the path you took? thanks
@lagjetacoustic4 жыл бұрын
Hey Mate, thanks! The hut was 25 euro each per night, so relatively inexpensive considering its at the top of a mountain 😂 so you can book them ahead of time or just show up like we did, and they're all over the alps and Slovenian alps. The route we did had sections to clip in via ferata, couple of parts wit big drops etc, although we did not clip in, rather used the chains etc as hand holds. You see a lot of people in full climbing kit, helmets, harnesses etc. But as you can see I wore a pair of skate shoes and was just careful of foot placement 😅 probably not ideal, but very doable with the right kit. Anyway you should definitely give it a go if you can, great hike!

Looks fun. You guys might think about the Oregon Coast of the U.S like Pistol River or Florence. Hood River Oregon is also destination. Summer months. Looks wonderful over there. San Francisco and Santa Cruz California have nice spots. Ho'okipa on Maui is the best though.. stay in Paia or Haiku.

I'm dying to have a session on the hood river, and hopefully will get over to hawaii once the world opens up! So far Cape Town is still my favourite spot, can't beat those monster waves! You from oregon?

@@lagjetacoustic San Francisco Bay Area.. a little north of there. I have windsurfed up and down the west coast though.. and Maui. Never Cape Town though.. sounds like an adventure. I can not wait to get out again.
