You’re an ISTP, like Brian, by CS Joseph’s KZbin heuristic. In the statement “that’s why Brian loses all of his races, he works em too hard,” you led with an internal true or false judgement (Ti, or introverted thinking), making you either an ISTP or INTP, and attributing it to working them too hard is a responsible attitude towards Brian’s sense of duty and how the comfort of others effects their physical performance which is extraverted sensing (Se) auxiliary/parent (I learned almost all of this on KZbin without a non-disclosure agreement, just after the song Ludens by BMTH came out, so I’m allowed to say this).

How long did it take you? Do you think it would be stupid to do it without a safety boat?

Yeah Hamis is a god in a pair but his blade work a tthe finish isn't like he rows a pair. He gets a great push through the middle and his blade is deeper than anyone else on the Port side. Not a bad thing. But he drops his hands on the arm pull and wastes the acceleration coming into the finish. I think he is rigged a little high. Who is going to tell him not to wash out???
@harryburke4833
@harryburke4833 8 жыл бұрын
His blade work in the eight is a product of rowing a pair. He can obviously move a pair pretty well, so I don't think anyone would've bothered to tell him to fix stuff in the eight.

Hamishs bladework improves at the end of the piece. His stroke is longer in the water. Finish timing is with everyone else. Good rowers make.adjustments.

If Hamish Bond (6 seat) had stroked instead two things may have happened: 1. They would have won the race 2. Everyone else would have had a heart attack trying to stay with the beast that is Hamish

+QuanChiKombat Totally. Whoever put the Australian guy with a "man bun" at stroke should be fired. Never go full man bun..........Hamish is the stroke of the world record holding the coxless pair........and he couldn't stroke this boat? Holy crap, whoever put this lineup together needs help..........

+darkmath100 you realise that Bond put the line-up together, right? And that stroke seat recently went sub 5:40 at a 33...?

waterst "Bond put the line-up together".....Oops, he screwed up then.... "And that stroke seat recently went sub 5:40 at a 33"......That's just more reason to NOT put him at stroke. The guy's a guerrilla and the stroke seat doesn't lend itself to guerrillas. Hamish or the lightweight in the bow should have been stroking. After all they're all sweep rowers and they lost to a bunch of scullers who probably row sweep boats once a year... ;-)
@goverholser
@goverholser 9 жыл бұрын
+darkmath100 JDS (stroke seat) stroked the gold-medal winning Australian 4- for years. The reason they didn't do as well as the scullers is because there's such an mix of different rowing strokes within the eight rowers, whereas the scullers (who obviously don't sweep much) row a much more consistent sweep stroke than the guys in this boat. Look at footage of stroke rowing for Australia and compare that with 7 seat rowing for the Netherlands. The difference between the two styles should be pretty clear, even to you. Also, losing to the Great Scull Eight is not nearly as bad as you seem to think. Sure those guys don't sweep often, but they've all got ridiculous boat-feel and there was a lot of power in that boat too.

waterst "Sure those guys don't sweep often, but they've all got ridiculous boat-feel".......This is my point basically. Hamish Bond probably has the best boat-feel of any rower today. Plus I've seen Hamish Bond be interviewed on t.v. He's so gracious and humble almost to a fault. I'd bet he didn't want to stroke because he didn't want to come across as arrogant like "Ok guys, I'm Hamish Bond and you know I've got more Gold medals than all of you put together so I'll be stroking this boat.".....lol, you get my point.

Great job! Fluid design boats are very susceptible to waves, so I was surprised that you didn't get a lot of water in the boat, especially near the end of the trip, when it was choppier.
