Hi, I just cant understand, you just remove flybar and Setup Flybarless System or without system ?

At 0:25 did I hear him right? He called the tail rotor leading edge the trailing edge? I went back to that audio several times and I am sure I heard accurately. If I am wrong I am sorry. But because of that I stopped watching.

Try using a little less dihedral. That might improve the glide ratio. Just s thought I had while watching this video. Nice build!

Is this aircraft only built from plans, or is there somewhere where it can be bought?

Copterdude This glider is from my own plan. If you want to DIY look up the plans for the MiMi DLG. otherwise buy a DLG glider. they all need final assbly. gluing, curting wiring etc but is 1/4 the effort of complete home build.

Actually, I have home built a lot of DLGs, and I think it's kind of fun to go through the whole process. Besides, it's a whole lot cheaper, and if it doesn't fly, you only have yourself to blame! Really nice build by the way. Very interesting design!

De romp is van een ouder competitie model, de rest zelf gebouwd. De glasvezel constructie van de vleugel is niet zo stijf als de gedeeltelijke carbon vleugel die ik hierna heb gebouwd. Dat was in de lanceer hoogte te merken.

Is this basically the same as Alula dreamflight? How easy is it to fly? Could it be a good one for some more beginner/amateur pilots? What are the two channels that are used? Is it unstable?

Nice Autos! and bailouts!! I love to do 450 autos if you want to find any of my videos. I'm not as good at bailouts, I've had it tip upside down when throttling back up!

@sp00fman1
@sp00fman1 9 жыл бұрын
sixeris I cut up some contacts found in a magnetic relay or contact points found in old cassette players, and weighted one end with a small piece of wire soldered to the backside of one contact that pulls the switch. Mounted it in a small plastic tube.

Not bad at all for the flying plank. I had bad experience with DIY styrofoam model and elevons. If you can - keep model level as much as possible, and make long and gentle turns. Every sudden movement, especially changing in elevation resulting in sudden slowing down. Also, elevons at full deflections acting as a spoilerons, or air brakes.

and when you add pitch to the tail you no longer have equal throw one side will piro faster than the other
@sp00fman1
@sp00fman1 10 жыл бұрын
I will have to test to see if that argument is true for the Tarot. Ideally the tail will never use maximum pitch for just pirouetting, and the piro speed is determined by the agility setting in the gyro setup. The gyro sensor will measure the piro rate and adjust the tail blade angle to match the requested piro rate. If the firmware works different in the Tarot and it does indeed use a part of the maximum tail blade pitch to dirrive its piro speed your statement would be true. I found i get a better tail hold in transitions between upright and inverted when i get the tail set up in rate mode instead of exactly cantering the tailslider. Adding ~8 degrees of pitch in rate mode wont make the tail blow out at all, not even when you add even more pitch with the cyclic+collective to tail mix. The tail will only blow out if tailrotor thrust is not enough to cancel out the sideways airflow + main rotor torque. If you mean to say the blades might stall with to much pitch... that will come in to play somewhere above 20degrees in the worst case. If the air stream is with the tailrotor pitch the "angle of attack" the tailblade sees is lower and it will be able to cope with more static blade pitch before it starts stalling. (stalled blade = interrupted airstream over the blades, generating drag so it draws much more power from the tail drive system for only marginal more thrust generated)

centered does work good and you have to center the tail before you add pitch if you do add pitch my copter flys fine with the tail centered beautiful day at the field exi 500 to trex/tarot custom 500 doing 3d

5V or so, Just u nlucky i think. The other servo i had worked a long time monger than this one. Diet playing with it on a servo tester i accidentally switched to 6V. This servo is happy below 5V.
@kmargos
@kmargos 11 жыл бұрын
what is the voltage at the servo?
@sp00fman1
@sp00fman1 11 жыл бұрын
yes, that can be used. Keep voltage at 5v, not higher or you quickly burn the servo. Was not impressed with the performance though. I have the Tarot ZYX on all of my helicopters now. Work superb with the Emax servo. Even works well only controlling the tail of the flybarred helicopter, so it is not only for FBL helicopters Ok, it is 4-5 times the price but well worth it! And that is a statement from someone that does not like to spend much money but searches for "best bang for the buck".

To bad .. Total mistake hitting throttle hold so close to the ground though. Next time something like that happens punch it and get the damn helicopter as far away from the ground as your comfortable with, once you hit 50 or 75 feet then you hit throttle hold drop the nose and do an auto. If you lose the tail then the tail will weathervane once you drop the nose and gain some forward speed. A vertical auto with no forward airspeed from 10 feet is a sure way to crash. But nice save anyway

Turnigy 2836 3700kv on a 12T pinion. Plenty of power for me. It can take advantage of higher C lipo's but it also runs fine on old used 20C packs (less rpm with 20C). I like them better than the H2215 i had before.
