Lovely rendition. Do you gig? I’d willingly pay to listen. I’m also thinking I’d like a 7-string!

Not out gigging right now but I certainly plan to when the right place comes up. Thanks for your interest. I would also highly highly recommend a 7 string - super fun!

This beautifull vidéo make me think a lot about my own playing. I switched recently to pick instead of fingers to get à more defined and punchy sound , but you sound just great to my ears.

Incredible stuff Joe, your sense of dynamic control is wonderful. Always soft enough to stay warm but never falling victim to muffled quietness; everything comes through clearly even when played softly. What a fantastic rendition.

Thank you so much for this. My favourite jazz tune at the moment. I love your arrangements, they are open and spacious, thoughtful and wistful, perfect for this tune!
A most dignified, sensitive, and moving telling of this tale Joe. I've lived through several Autumns in New York and the rich leaf colors of the old trees and the cool of the air are alive in your playing. Autumn in New York is indeed often mingled with pain. A beautiful tune and beautiful performance my friend. Outstanding

As always your comment on my playing is hugely appreciated John. There's a sophistication to this tune which surprised me when I picked it up - it definitely matches the city.

In a world which seems to be running at a 1000 miles an hour your gentle slow motion pulse reminds me of foggy mornings, meandering waking thoughts, reading an old diary or remembering a lost love. You are a true guitar poet Joe. Thank you so much for this

The tune is a true favorite and you are a true favorite as well Joe. This felt like like listening in as the tune was being written/discovered. A lovely kind of pondering over the melody and harmony. So nice that the preamble appeared at the end. Full of life and optimism. Outstanding Joe !

@@joefieldsolojazzguitar ha. No wonder it sounded so “ woody”. Have still never heard a closed back amp that does not sound nasal and boxy. I thought: at last. Well done, and thanks much.
