Hey your channel is great! I am your newest subscriber AND I am the newest owner of this range rover. I am in the Ottawa area and just bought it off the guy you sold it to. I just kind of randomly stumbled upon your channel when I was youtubing this year RRC. I have some questions about the car, would love to be able to DM or email you. Great job with the truck, im super exvited to be the next owner!

Making your own engine/trans adapter plate is next level fabrication skills. I would love to a conversation like this when the 3.2 in my Isuzu trooper finally gives up, 180,000 miles and counting.

Hi Ludwig. Amazing job on this car. I would like to ask you how are your impressions months after it was done. I have a RR Classic with a VM 2.5 engine which is running really well now, but I'm afraid one day will not, and parts are difficult to get for this engines. 1.9 tdi is easy to get and cheap here in Europe, and one of the most reliable engines ever made... but it looks like an small engine for a big car, but maybe is just a feeling. Other than the overall result, what about the consumption? TIA.

Absolutely loved watching this old Rangey come back to life. The final scenes on the sand dunes looked like an old 70s TV advert for Range Rover . Brilliant !

Hey Brother! I haven an ALH TDI and A 3.9l Cummins, and I'm not sure which I want to put in my Disco 2. What kind of fuel mileage and power are you getting with the TDI? Not sure which one would be an appropriate size.

I was doing 8.5 L/100k highway and 10.5 average, and it was tuned for 170hp and 270 ish torque to crank. I think it’s a great motor but would go with a manual trans next time. the 3.9 is pretty good too but still requires tuning to get decent power

This is a good engine, but you should have gone with the pd 1.9 tdi engine. Much much better and a best of an engine. So easy to put power on it

10:43 You don't have to make a puller. You can use two of the shorter 12mm water pump bolts from right next door to remove the harmonic balancer, but clean the hole threads first of any road crud so you don't mar the bolt threads, and oiling them helps. When the bolts touch on the timing cover, alternate little equally partial turns on each bolt to back it off evenly.
@ludwigseeley63592 жыл бұрын
The Toyota manual suggested using a puller, here things get very corroded so I would not want to risk putting excess pressure on that thin timing cover.
@makego2 жыл бұрын
@@ludwigseeley6359 A fair point. I live in Southern California, so there was no corrosion for me to worry about. I see from outside of your shop that you are not in the same conditions. 😉
