It's weird that a great effort was done to build this and yet the name written on the ship is totally wrong. Also that flag of France didn't exist because the revolution didn't happen yet!

At what point did she have yellow turret tops? The only reference to them I can find - and that source is unsure of the exact colour - was after she had left Norway. At that point the stripes and hakenkreuz had been painted out.

What an incredible craftsmanship. A wonderful model for every collection. While I have the space I truly have to save some money to probably get this for my retirement (in some years, as I most likely will never be able to ever reach such perfection myself). Congratulations, Capt. Jack Aubrey would be highly pleased to take her to sea!

Oh and do a better ship's wheel. The laser cut one isn't so great. Better to use a good casting and finish it with a glaze/ wash for visual appeal. The Model Shipyard produces some fine quality models.

Well done and looks correct. So many get the hull lines wrong and you can't fix that no matter how detailed it is. Deck planks look too wide and the ship's boats could be improved (they look Vietnamish). Also the stern gallery is wrong. As well as the carronades, which are the carriage-mounts added in the 1920s. A few more things need to be improved as well but overall the model is well done. The improvements would be no problem for these guys. Would love to see the gun deck modeled instead of dummy barrels and a solid hull below the spar deck. Of course if you want a model of the Constitution as she appears today, this model is pretty much accurate. I would want her in the as-launched configuration or the 1812 configuration. Those are where the history is IMHO.

Beautiful model! I do wish that ship model makers would use more muted background music as this is most distracting.

Saw hundreds of Bismarck models, this one is not very convincing....Markus van Beek his model is one of the finest....

Great model, but why 1/78?? Might as well make it standard at 1/72. 6ft = 1in. Also, the deck railings are missing, but are present in the superstructure.

Fantastic model. Something I love about the 3rd rate ships of the line. The backbone of the Royal Navy in the Age of Sail.

It looks really nice and i might be nitpicking but to my knowing the hull below the waterline of HMS Victory was copper sheathed to protect it against shipworm?

What a beautiful ship this is!

Really nice model, I sailed on her and her sister ship Island Princess in the 80's ! If you really wanted to be accurate, you should made this a model of the Island Princess! There is only one noticeable structural way to tell the two apart. On the Pacific Princess along the front top of observation deck below the bridge is a ridge that stretches all across the deck, also a less noticeable feature is an extension of the mast about 60 degrees, The Island Princess' Observation deck is flat, and doesn't have the mast extension, the same as on your model! I know this sounds nitpicky but as I say, it is the only way besides the Name to tell these twin ships apart externally!

I hope the caranades are the same bore as the long guns! Nah, just kidding. Looks great.
