The blade is to be pushed in until you hear a click I believe. Also we should remove the peeler and blade (moved to the front of the worm drive) before trying to remove the core, etc. Then with the blade & peeler removed, you can just place the next vegetable, apple, etc. right onto the spike (holder).

Many of my recipes are based on two books. What you see below is my Amazon customer review of these two books. “This review is of both the book 'Sweet Cream And Sugar Cones' (copyright 2012) and the book 'The Perfect Scoop' (copyright 2018). Both are 5 star books. If you are a first time artisan ice cream maker, I recommend the book Sweet Cream And Sugar Cones because it goes into more detailed instructions and explanations. The Perfect Scoop has both custard based ice cream and Philadelphia style ice cream recipes. Having Philadelphia style recipes on hand is useful if you need to make ice cream on short notice or are in a hurry. Sweet Cream And Sugar Cones' ice cream recipes are custard based only. Both books have recipes for sweet deserts other than ice cream. Sweet Cream and Sugar Cones is a total of 217 pages and advertises 90 desert recipes. The Perfect Scoop has 265 pages and advertises 200 desert recipes. As mentioned earlier, not all recipes are for ice cream. The Perfect Scoop organizes its recipes by Ice Creams/Frozen Yogurts/Gelatos, Sorbets/Sherbets, Granitas, Sauces and Toppings, Mix-Ins, and Vessels. Vessels includes recipes for ice cream cones, ice cream sandwiches, etc. Sweet Cream And Sugar Cones organizes its recipes by type; Vanilla, Caramel, Chocolate, Coffee and Tea, Nuts, Berries, Citrus, Herbs and Spices, and Tropical Fruits. It also has recipes for sorbets, granitas, sauces, toppings, mix-ins, ice cream cones, ice cream sandwiches, etc. These other recipes are organized with the ice cream recipes. For example, Mango Sorbet is in the Tropical Fruits section. I did not find any recipes for frozen yogurts, gelatos or sherbets. But it does have recipes for ice cream cakes and ice cream pies. I own both books and use both.”

great video- however sanitizing is the best thing after this procedure and doesn't add much hassle because you are working with milk and cream. Most boards of health would say the use of chlorine with a residual of no less than 100 ppm after one minute contact with the equipment, if sprayed, with a residual of no less than 100 ppm after 5 minutes. A tsp of chlorine bleach in a quart of water is about that much- so a wipe on and leave or a spray and wipe if you feel it necessary after a few minutes assures you no mold. The idea is that you aren't going to use it right away so the bleach will dissipate over time either way.

The top reason I wish I had NOT bought the Lello 4080 Musso Lussino: It arrived defective new, out of the box. There is a very loud noise from underneath the machine every revolution of the dasher. The instruction book lists 2 numbers for customer service and they don't work. One is a spam recording trying to sell a medical device with no way to leave a message or ask a question. The other simply does not answer. In the box when you open it is now a page explaining it is actually made in Croatia, not Italy. I had to spend $200 more to ship it to Central America where we planned on using it. Now I'm stuck with a $900 shiny waste of money with zero customer support.

Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for... I was finding tons of examples of this method for outdoor holiday lights, but I wasn't sure if it was proper for indoor lamps; e.g. I have one switched outlet in one corner of a room, and I want to put multiple lamps in different corners of the room and this method looks like it will suit my needs! Thank you also for the explanation of determining your capacity on any given wire, that helped immensely so I know the wire can handle adding a few lamps without becoming a hazard.

Thank you for the tutorial. I have a question. My lamp had a "normal" (not foot) switch, for which both cables have been cut (neutral and power). But the foot switch that I bought requires the neutral cable to be uncut. Can I join both ends of the neutral cable and secure that with isolation tape, or would that be unsafe? Hope you get what I mean, it's a bit hard to articulate this in my second language :)
@Around_The_Home
@Around_The_Home Жыл бұрын
If you can, completely replace the lamp wire. Lamp wire is relatively inexpensive. While splicing the wire could work, over time, the splice (where you joined the wires) could become loose since the only thing holding it together is the insulated tape. Once loose, the splice could begin to arc, which could result in a fire.

@@dresdenkiller I think they do know how to make machines in Nord Italy and they do know how to make glace. But if you miss a digital display, then there are a ton of machines and most of them are cheaper ;-). I prefer the simple ones that are build like a tank... like the classic Italian Coffe Machines. @@wamote6867 you see, I don’t mind an analog thermometer, but a machine that’s so difficult to use is not for me, someone who makes ice cream thrice a month for the kids. That’s where we differ. I know people who love fiddling with their coffee machines. I want to press a button and have freshly ground coffee… and as we say, if there’s any moving part, stick with Germans, for design and beauty, there’s always the French and the Italians.

How much ice cream mixture can you add to the Lello 4080 Musso Lussino and what is your preferred amount? I'm worried about ice cream overflow. I just read that you can only add 750ml mixture while the ice cream machine can take 1000ml with no issue.

Is your ice cream machine still running to your satisfaction. I am in the market for a new machine. I had a Cuisinart for many years, but the insert quit freezing. They claimed you could make more than one batch at a time. Condensation on the surface of the insert, during the second batch made that second batch not worth the trouble You had to let it cool to room temperature wash it get it completely dry and put it back in the freezer for 2 to 3 days before making another single batch. The older the insert got the longer it had to freeze between uses. Thank you for the information.
