@PedalScience I'm thinking of buying an amp. i'm between sv20 and st20. however, I also heard the prs hdrx20. I liked them all. but I prefer combo. the sv20 has more gain. however, the st20 is fantastically clean and has 12 speakers. i play blues I don't need much gain. however, I heard several presentations of the st20. from very good to bad and I'm worried. I already have the peave classic30 combo old. vintage american. but there is a problem. it makes a buzzing noise before I even put my guitar on. Now that I've said what I'm playing, what do you recommend????

Gonna pick up a 421 and use that with the sm57 to blend the sounds together. Seems to be an industry standard and a good point to start at. Great review of the 2 mics man!

Hi, how do you link the bugera to the amp speaker? The cable of my jcm800 is too short...
@PedalScience14 күн бұрын
You can remove the back panel and then unscrew the strain relief that holds the speaker cable to the inside of the cab to get a bit more length, or use a 1/4" female to female coupler + another speaker cable.

While using a guitar amp, how would you easily switch between a light overdrive tone and a heavier distortion sound in one patch? These 2 pedals are in the same footswitch....

In my view the Boss GT1 is the greatest unit they've ever made, I'm asked lot's to reveal my signal chain and tweaks almost consistently by fellow players, they can see I'm only using it into a pair of 15's 2 way full range p.a. enclosures on stage, some gigs I only use one depending on volume/spread coverage for stage or venue size limits, I'm murdering boutique rigs, I consider my cab/s and set up to be no more hassle than using a conventional top grade guitar amp with a cab or two, I am using a little helper in my signal chain that I know enables it to replicate any serious amp or slay it at will. It's set and go, no farting about, the tones are already set off stage to allow me to play fuss free on stage....it took a long time to figure the tweaks properly with my main use guitar.

Have you tried running kt66 in the jtm yet? The scratches come from the handling of the full size sheets during the fabrication process of the chassis.
@PedalScienceАй бұрын
No, haven't tried KT66. The scratches come from the *poor* handling of the full size sheets 😂 I worked in a different amp factory; anything that scratched up wouldn't make it out of metalwork

Which do you prefer? I have a DD-200 right now, am I missing something not having the El Cap?
@PedalScienceАй бұрын
I like them both but for different things. El cap can add spring reverb and tape crinkle to the repeats, and has the cool sound-on-sound decaying looper, whereas DD-200 can do the hifi thing nicely and has a good regular looper. Both do multi head and tape sounds pretty well of course.

@gibsonflyingv2820Ай бұрын
Just filters on the single oscillator difference couldn't be told. In terms of the weird voices you get from patching on the m32 thats a different story.
@PedalScienceАй бұрын
Ofcourse. However, I find the single osc + filter pretty revealing about how a particular synth sounds. As the timbre increases in complexity, it becomes more about the patch itself / added oscillators etc. For me this test really shows how good the 'core sound' is from Diva.
@gibsonflyingv2820Ай бұрын
@@PedalScience That's a good point, yeah I agree that's an excellent test to determine the unique voice every synthesizer has. I use the Diva frequently, and have sold off most of my hardware in the age of quality VSTS. The only hardware I haven't sold is the Moog matriarch since even the Uhe divas and pigments can't get close to the sound of that beast.
