What adhesive is being using to stick vinyl to cove?
@nicmont42309 ай бұрын
We never used the vinyl cap and cove. Always metal. The first one the guys let me try was so fucking ugly. 😂😂😂 I could weld really good though so they let it slide.

Really rough....gap at top of cove and hairline gap external weld 😮

What kinda of glue your using to set the cove curve ?

Find the studs and use screws into them.
@reagansmith1948 Жыл бұрын
Good luck finding studs when walls are brick/block with a three inch prestressed lintel above the window.

You left a big gap at the top of that outside corner seam.

@flexyfix3 жыл бұрын
You are wrong Mate. This is vinyl capping made by Quantum
@brianwild46403 жыл бұрын
@@flexyfix yea I used that stuff easy to get vinyl in but does not push the capping hard against the wall

carpet upstands? is that even i thing?
@brianwild46403 жыл бұрын
@@garnhamr lmao have you never seen carpet on walls. It has only been a thing since before carpets went on floors
@garnhamr3 жыл бұрын
@@brianwild4640 I have never seen carpet upstands before I don't think. I've only fitted a handful of easy square room carpets. I've fitted quite a few crappy council wetrooms but that's for water. Carpet upstands just don't make sense to me. Learn something new every day they say.

Haha great. Im doing cap and cove tomorrow hehe

Ok but how does one REMOVE this problem of coved vinyl. If my kitchen floors weren't coved it would make covering them SO MUCH EASIER 😩😭

this is a product demo. they are even using carpet capping for vinyl lol and on a 100mm upstand you should use 3 beads not 1
@flexyfix3 жыл бұрын
The demo is for the adhesive and only 2 beads are required

@@flexyfix cool its just i was reading on the website ans 100mm sit on cove needs 3 beads on the 100 mm nm

You would never hang curtains that close to the frame, the barren should be at least 4" above the window frame

And wide also.

Hi, is that a wood glue? I've never done anything like this before but I have to hang a piece of wood for my curtains as the walls are either really soft or you can't get anything to screw in as it's solid concrete.
@Chillisunset6 жыл бұрын
I would not recommend this as the weight of the curtains and the movement over time opening and shutting the curtains could cause the grab adhesive to come away from the plaster on the wall. It sounds like you need the correct drill and fixings for your situation. An SDS will go in to the concrete.

i don't need your drill. i've been flexyfixing nosings for months. saved 2 days on a stairwell last week so thats an extra £400 in my pocket. This gear is brilliant so i use it for all makes of nosings. My mate even uses it for wall cladding as it saves him loads

flexyfixing all my trims now. Skirting boards and anything else that needs fixing. Fast and clean and so much easier than grip fill as this stuff is almost instant cure

brilliant stuff doesnt take 90 seconds though. pre cut nosings can be done in less than a minute once you get going. using it for trims and gripperrods now
