Totally Disagree, it's not at all a big deal to go and study abroad these days, the clear reasons why someone should be very careful while taking decision to go abroad are layoffs left and right, no part time jobs, inflation all time high, massive fees, no job guarnteed, visa processes later are a big headache, visa sponsored jobs not much in number, return on investment is not great until and unless you have a very high paying job. There are many more reasons these are just glimpse of it!!

I appreciate these videos to help students but please understand that there is a high possibility that you will come back. If you don't get an H1b visa, you'll come back. If there is a layoff you'll COME back. There are people who got Greencard I140 and were waiting for 10-20 years for a greencard(the US makes only Indians and Chinese suffer this barbarity). Think of all the H1Bs who got laid off in Facebook (Meta), Amazon, etc. People who wait for the Greencard card on H1B are literally hanging by their fingernails on a steep cliff. And when they lose their jobs the fall out of the system and go back. Also, US politicians and Presidents have promised changes on the green card backlog, but no changes have come in the last 20 years.So we know they make fake promises which they never intend to fulfill. Remember people don't have unlimited time to study. So you should put your money for study in a country that is willing to welcome you. The USA is not that country. If you ask me personally, a country that doesn't want you here is not worth going to. It is better to go to a country which wants you and invites you; not a country that doesn't want you, and by all means is doing it's best to deny you the greencard. If you still want to come, remember there is a high chance you'll either not be picked for H1B or could lose your job.

Germany I recommend only if your profile is very good in Mechanical. You are going to compete with EU citizens for jobs and they donot need work visa - you do. So companies would prefer them unless you are better.
