Thanks Tina, I was thinking of stopping my videos all together as it's so much work/time yo do but then I'd have no accountability to get stuff finished and I enjoy talking about my craft. Still finding my feet on this new way of doing things but it makes almost no time at all. Hope you're well xxx

Thank Melissa, I've been itching to do an update for a couple of weeks. I might try just little videos to show progress or finishes to see if I can stay on top of that any better. I think Emily resembles me more than Katherine does. She's short like me too!

Hi Helen it’s so lovely to see u back again. Glad ur feeling better. It’s my intention to finish all of my wips this year also. I’ve got at least 5 crochet blankets that need finishing. I really need to sort through all my stash and projects which I intend to do before the end of this month. Ur hair is looking lovely by the way 😍. I have 2 upcoming babies due to be born this year, thankfully not new grandchildren, but I love making baby blankets. Look forward to seeing u soon 🥰❤️xxx

The socks look fantastic. How interesting to knit them flat. Your Painting Honeycombs Shawl is really beautiful and the needle stoppers are so cute. I wish I could do cross stitch but my eyes won’t let me, yours is coming along so nicely. The yarn and advent shawl are so beautiful, the yarn is amazing. I’m making a Flax as well, for my granddaughter, and I’m stuck on sleeve island. As for The Flower Child’s Tee I would just have the squares on the front and maybe just more stripes on the back. It will still look amazing. All of your projects are so wonderful and good for you on frogging some of them. No sense working on something you don’t enjoy. I hope you are all doing well and it was so good catching up with. ❤🧶

So wonderful to see you again, Helen. Your blanket is, of course, beautiful! I would really love to give that pattern a go, if I ever find the time. The knitted Christmas tree advent is such a great idea. Your children are really going to enjoy that during Christmas. I can’t believe it’s almost that time of year. Oh by the way, this is Melissa from the US…..lol. I’ve had a channel name change. Thanks so much for a lovely video. I always look forward to seeing what you have been up to. Hi Helen. It's lovely to see you. Emily is a brilliant co host! You're amazing, making the advent tree. Definitely count each item as a finish. 12 balls in the blanket bags. Hi Helen. What a busy month u have had! School holidays are always s demanding 😂. I am totally in love with your winter wonderland blanket. I’m gonna go over and check out Andy’s Christmas Eve box, I’ve never treated myself to anything like that before. But with another baby due in November, Christmas is starting to be a tad expensive lately 😅. I must say I’m enjoying the monthly episodes better than the fortnightly ones, and if it’s easier for you it’s a win win. Hope you are all keeping well, lots of love ❤️ xxxx

Good morning Helen. Hope you're all well and enjoying the bank holiday. Thankyou so much for all your lovely thoughts and comments, it is very much appreciated. As usual all your projects are beautiful. The Christmas blanket is stunning. I'm teaching Andy to crochet at the moment. Slow going presently. His dad has been very poorly in hospital. Hoping to get him home in the next few days. I've rekindled a love of embroidery, something I did alot years ago. Like you said ,stitching makes a change from yarn crafting. See you again at the end of September. Xx

The cardigan for Emily is lovely, are the buttons covered, they look as though they are from what I can see. Lovely to see your smiling face Helen. I’m back too after a nasty many months of hospital and operations and and and . How on earth did women with 13 kids manage back in the day? Love the MAL. The sock yarn you sent me from Andy is just perfect. I’m mostly doing charity crochet at the moment so I’m sure you won’t mind if I enter those. Yep, I covet that prize. Been making shopping bags and little baskets for nick knacks which sell well at the local charity shops.

I’ve got some 4 ply hot pink cotton yarn I’d be happy to send you if Katherine would like it for her cardigan, you would have to double it. I’ve also got a pretty pink 8 ply, a deep purple 8 ply and a daffodil yellow8 ply; also a blue. I can send you photos of the colours though as you know they don’t always ring true. Anyway it’s there if she would like it. Just let me know and I’ll post it off, no point in spending your hard earned money when crazy 😵‍💫a Aussie is happy to give it to you. (Wish they had a puggle emoji or even an adult platypus or echidna) 🦘🦘😵‍💫 Btw I have friends who have autism as do I and they are very intelligent and different in a wonderful way. So good luck with all that. I’m not even sure why it’s an issue unless they are distressed by noise or crowds and cannot function. Nothing wrong with not being the same as everyone else. What is normal anyhow? Let me know about the yarn, if you let me know what colour Katherine is wanting I may even have that. Esp in Dk which is the most popular weight here. Unlike the USA where Aran (10 ply) is the most common.

Hi soffity, so glad to see you're back! I've been worried about you. I hope you're starting to feel better and are making sure you are taking care of yourself. Thanks for the offer of the yarn, I couldn't let you go to the expense of mailing all the way to me. I get a cotton blend yarn from a store called hobbycraft which is almost always on a 3 for 2 offer and only costs about £3.50 for 100g. As I'll only need about 300g it won't be too costly and I have a savings account that I pay into especially for yarn purchases (mostly for yarn show spending). Katherine's autism mostly affects her on a social basis, she gets quite anxious when required to talk to someone she doesn't know well and gets very upset in crowds. She is described as 'high functioning' as she's very intelligent but for me I worry about her as she gets older as she doesn't really have many friends and the ones she does have don't give her the time of day outside of school so she gets very lonely. I'm mostly seeking the diagnosis to see what help and support she can get to be able to make more friends and have a coping mechanism in place for when she gets anxious about things as it does disturb her sleep.
