Larry is 75 years old now, so I guess this documentary is from 2004.

As far as boxing pedigree goes he has a legitimate claim as the greatest heavyweight to do it.

Все гарно, але над точністю ударів треба ще попрацювати, б' є і по потилиці, і коли суперник падає, удари йдуть мимо, що ледве рефері не вдарив.

Great fighter. One of the greatest of all time. He would of beaten Foreman. Shame we never saw it. Coming across a Real down to earth bloke, amazing skills, speed, jab, boxing iq determination and heart. I hope i can meet him one day
Larry was his own worst enemy. He cherry picked many of his fights and never attempted to unify all the belts. The fact that he never fought Greg Page, Michael Dokes, or Gerry Coetzee will forever be a blemish on his legacy. He had three very controversial decision wins against Ken Norton, Tim Witherspoon, and Carl Williams. He never had rematches with any of them. A few of his fights ended in controversial stoppages, namely the one against Renaldo Snipes. He had two fights against guys that never should have gotten title shots in Tex Cobb and Marvis Fraizer. It wasn't just the Ali fight and the Rocky Marciano comment that deprived him of the credit and recognition that he craved. Having said all this, I do think he should've gotten more respect in his time than what he got. But I fully understand why he didn't get it for so long.

Why didn't he try unifying all the heavyweight belts? Becoming the unified undisputed champion would have gone a long way towards getting him the credit and recognition that he craved.

42yrs Holmes beats Mercer after 4 yrs retirement u all give credit but when at 38yrs old after 4 yrs break and he gets knocked out by Mike Tyson you give scapegoat that he was past his prime, but just give kudos to Tyson coz at his prime nobody beats Mike Tyson not even a prime Holmes, Ali, Foreman, Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe , Fury, Wilder mention them coz nobody beats a prime Mike Tyson

Larry came into boxing and was in his prime in such a weird time. The early to mid 80s was the beginning of boxing attitude era and he just wasnt willing to play ball. They tried so hard to make him into a villain but he was never that. Larry wanted to be like Joe louis with but that wasn't selling at the time

Some people just don't realize that . Larry Holmes is the greatest fighters of all time too!! He can beat today's era heavyweight easily..yes.!. nowdays we don't have someone like him anymore!! In those time life is really hard to survive..it bent & mould u to become a great fighter.. Not like today's era.....most of fighters are in good life Thas why there is no qualities in boxing today. And no great fighters nowdays!!

Larry Holmes sure did one thing better than most heavyweight champions. He did a proper courtship of his wife, and he's still married to her. That's a great champion!

Defenitly. I still don't like what happend in his fight with Ali, but I think it has to do with the corruption in boxing. But 7 years worldchampion, undefeated in 48 fights. Please give it to him. He desevers all that.
