A new type of "watching someone die inside" video. Looked pretty hot. 💀 Pepper SHU does not translate to the bottle. This came out to be 60k in a random indie sample at the lab. As you say extract is the biggest factor because, at the end of the day, it's how much capsaicin is in the bottle. The SHU on the bottle is (or was if they changed it) wrong- I'm not sure any sauces get as hot as the pepper unless it's heavy extract. The marketing Is wrong. It's a pepper forward, flavor first sauce made with the hottest pepper. I'd say it's 8/10 (not 11!) in heat. Good sauce though and I think the flavor and heat is testament to the power of the pepper. Also make sure you shake it like crazy.
@BarrelShape2 күн бұрын
You make a good point about a pepper's SHUs not translating to the sauce... I guess I was expecting something more fiery, considering it's supposedly 91% mash of the current record holder for world's hottest pepper. A fairly close comparison would be Hellboy Extreme Hot Sauce by Hellfire. It's 85% mash of Reapers, Trinidad Scorpions, 7 Pot Primos and Jolokias, and it advertises itself as the hottest non-extract sauce in the world. I would say the heat of both sauces is roughly equivalent (between a 4 and a 5 for me). If Ed Currie is a fraud, so are the folks at Hellfire - so maybe neither of them are frauds and they're just using a bit of hyperbole in their product descriptions. In terms of non-extract sauces, my two hottest are Ancho Masala by Bravado and Elijah's Extreme Regret. Could it be that the greater intensity of heat can be attributed to the way the peppers were prepared? I do know that smoking and dehydrating increases the concentration of capsicum in peppers.

I suggest watching my follow up video. It is NOT the heat that did me in here. My stomach has decided it has zero tolerance for pepper extract, and forcibly purged itself, then caused me the worst stomach pain of my life. I should have known, after just a few drops of THE END: FLATLINE that this would happen after a tablespoon of Da Bomb. Imagine the worst charlie horse ever, except in your stomach, and with a pair of hands increasingly tightening the knot. I would eat TWO Pepper X's before consuming this again. Eating a Carolina Reaper was nothing compared to this.

I'm sorry to hear of your horrendous experience... I personally hate any products that contain "extract." They're absolutely disgusting. You may as well drink battery acid... It sickens me seeing a company like that, making millions of dollars off of a terrible product like that. Especially when you have so many other small businesses making absolutely amazing products (like myself) that struggle every day. Well, enough of my rant. May God bless you, and may you feel better 🙏

We want to express our sincere gratitude for taking the time to review our hot sauces. We thoroughly enjoyed watching all four of your reviews and were thrilled to hear your thoughts on each one. We were particularly excited to hear your feedback on our Dragon Snake Armageddon hot sauce. We’re glad it met your expectations in both heat level and taste. Your detailed and insightful reviews are invaluable to us and help us better understand our customers' preferences. BTW, you're absolutely right about Szechuan peppercorns! They are truly unique and come from the prickly ash tree. If you enjoy the distinct flavor they provide, we encourage you to try our Fire in Nashville Rub in the future. We also appreciate the kind words about our Peanut Butter and Jelly Hot Sauce. It's been a hit with many of our customers, but we understand your preference based on your previous reviews. We recommend trying our Red White and Blue Hot Sauce or Tropical Heat instead - both are fantastic dessert-inspired options. Thank you again for your support and for being such a fantastic reviewer. We hope to have you as a regular customer!

We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to review our Sir-HOT-Cha hot sauce. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we strive to create products that our customers love. We understand that Sir-HOT-Cha might not have resonated with you in the same way as our previous sauces. Every palate is unique, and we respect your opinion. Your knowledge of Asian and Thai cuisine is impressive, and we were intrigued by your comparison. We want to clarify that while Sir-HOT-Cha is inspired by sriracha, it's actually a completely different recipe. Unlike traditional sriracha, we don’t ferment our ingredients or use Fresno peppers. Our unique blend includes red bell, ghost, Thai, and Carolina Reaper peppers, along with our proprietary Umami Bomb seasoning for a fermented flavor profile. Thank you again for your honest review. We look forward to hearing your thoughts on future products.

The Sambal sauce that this reminded me of is by Chabé. There is a similarity in sweetness and heat level (sir-HOT-cha is unambiguously hotter, though) and I found myself considering its use in the same type of dish as I use Sambal - mixed in to Nasi Goreng or Mie Goreng, added to Dumpling sauce and other sauces and marinades, drizzled over ramen bowls and hot pots, maybe even mixed with some ketchup to add to a sandwich or burger. A huge test of sir-HOT-cha will be its usability over eggs - because that is what the majority of my sauce collection is used for.

Yep, it surprised me a lot. Isn't fruit juice said to neutralize the burn of certain peppers? Perhaps it had something to do with that. The apricot is very prominent in this sauce.

@TNTspices2 ай бұрын
@BarrelShape That's a very difficult question, lol. It's like choosing your favorite child. It all depends on your taste. If you like peanuts, then we suggest our PB&J HOT SAUCE. If you like hoagies, cheesesteaks, or Italian pork/beef sandwiches, we would recommend our Italian Diablo Sauces. If you're a pineapple lover, we highly recommend our Tropical Heat, it goes well on both sweet and savory foods. If you're a fan of Sriracha, we would recommend our unique twist, Sir-HOT-Cha. Which is spicier and has a bolder garlic flavor then normal Sriracha. If you love blueberries, then we have 2 very different blueberry sauces. Our Red White and Blue which is an amazing dessert sauce or our Black-Blue Exxxpresso, which works as a dessert sauce and marinade. If you're a Heat chaser and also a fan of umami flavors than you'll love our Dragon Snake Armageddon. Finally our Norma's Pique is a very traditional Puerto Rican condiment...to most Americans it would be considered an infused vinegar. Hope this helps... we thank you in advance for any and all support 🙏

As a craft hot sauce lover myself, I've seen a new breed of ultra cheap bottles hitting local grocery stores, often found in ethnic food aisles even though they're not traditional overseas brands. They always seem brightly colored and taste like sauce packets. I speculated that a food distribution company may have prompted an AI to analyze Asian supply chains and put together a sauce that can be sold cheaply. Profit on that product may not even be necessary and a large conglomerate just needed it to complete a contract to cash out.

Seems feasible. It only worked on me this one time - for a couple reasons. I like cheap-to-produce channel content and I'm a sucker for sweet chili sauce.

You can try out a varity of things like less water or more days which you spray the seedling with water and many more. The Thing with seeds is you never know what is 100 prozent getting them to germinate. Just throw a couple of seed in one pot and you have a higher chance to germinate 1. I throw for one plant 3 seeds in and its mostly depentend on which plant you seed. You said that you are careful with sunlight on the dragonfruit. I dont think it matters if you dont let the soil water out. Im not a profesional at all just some things that went well for me. Good video keep it up!

My routine has been pretty consistent day to day. I water them in the morning if and when the sun comes out. On cloudy days, I don't water them. On colder days and hotter days, I bring them inside and put them in the window sill where they can still absorb some sun. So far, two seedlings have died, but all the others continue to grow steadily.
