@Naga123ayy11 ай бұрын

@kimjon377411 ай бұрын
@anasdarwisy8491 it needs a hole drilled, to line up with the port in the manifold/carburetor. This provides the pulse required to pump fuel. The pulse activates a diaphragm pump (hence the name "pumper carburetor").

It definitely flys down the road I was impressed for getting the pocket bike for free and had a extra rolling frame on standby.

Its the standard axle, nothing custom. To mount the sprocket I turned some spacers on my lathe (×4). But you could cut some pipe of appropriate size to achieve the same thing. Add longer bolts that hold the wheel hubs together, these bolt the sprocket, spacers and hubs together.

@@kimjon3774 Doesn’t like the Honda Dio reed valve fit on there too? Bolt pattern and spacing looks similar. I’m interested in these pocket bike motors because they’re on the cheap pocket bikes, which I’ve had 2, and in the primal raminator. It’s extremely interesting to me to see the RC guys talk about the engine when it originated from pocket bikes lol. The case reed seems like a fundamentally bad design because the air fuel mixture has to go through the entire crank to get to the transfers, but they’re cheap and me and others it seems like still have hope of improving them, so we try. I think they’re also on garden and landscaping equipment sold in China, where the gas tank is above the engine, then someone was like hey let’s put this in a tiny motorcycle.
@kimjon37742 жыл бұрын
@@rabbitfootedkitty1339 absolutely, I totally understand where you're coming from. That's why I started playing around with them too. I've built about 6 of these using combination of ideas. I learned a lit off the pocket bike plannet website/forum and applied those ideas to my motors. I always thought the petals on the factory reeds look backwards to me. So that was my first attempt at modification. Then this reed block was the second - however it was very crude and I messed up my case volume ratios. It could be a winner...I just never proceeded with it afterwards

Hey man i have the same performance engine but without the PORTED CYLINDER, is it worth buying the ported cylinder?
@kimjon37742 жыл бұрын
Hi. Yes, but its not going to be that much better as a straight bolt on part. There's a bit of work to get it dialed in. If you want the best performance out of it, you're going to have to port match the transfers, flow the cases and set the port timing by either spacing or removing material from the base, then set the squish band by doing something similar up yhe top. It sounds technical, but its not really that hard to do. Just a matter of putting a timing wheel on it and seeing where things are at.

@@kimjon3774 Yea im familiar with porting the case im just trying to achieve 6.5 hp with the ported block + carbon reed. do you think its possible?

@@dallas749 probably not. I've got a polini 39cc pocket bike that's rated at 6.5hp (factory motor, no work done by me) and it's a lot quicker than my motors I've made based off these cag 49cc engines. I'd only be guessing, but I'd say mine would be 3 - 4hp tops? But that's just a guess.
