So does this mean I can skip paying taxes next year in 2025? I've known 2 friends who died because of government neglect. A high risk road area where the public bus drops people off. We have mentioned countless of times to the authorities that the area needs to be safe and one day (my friend whose an old lady) she got off the buss and got ran into and died then and there. After that accident, only then the government added a new roundabout and put on some traffc lights and predestrian crossings and what not... Another case was potholes... We have informed the authorities on the dangers, my friend (a guy few years younger than me) ran into it and fell from his bike and sustained brain damage. He is now disabled because of his sustained brain damage. Only after that accident the government covered up the pothole. And finally, the speed bump the colours were worned out... Motorcyclist would accidentally go over it everytime having to save themselves. This time we had learned that its not good to report to the government as it does not go where until something happens, so we decided to paint the speed bump yellow ourselves... Its just sad... Sad sad sad sad sad....

In Spore they have National Plants Board where they take care of all trees and ensure the safety of citizens using roads. We in Malaysia need to THINK and be aware of this. Flooding and these kind of accidents should not be happening. Now the MUNICIPALITY a will come out and start SLASHING trees and make them look like some grotesque monsters. That’s not the answer. Please learn from our neighbours how to prune big trees. Which trees to keep and which to bring down. What happened is gross neglect. There is no body accountable for this and LEGAL action should be taken. There must be accountability, experts that check on these matters. Or we will forever be the same. WAIT for something to happen & then take some senseless action. Typical Msian. FYI there are many trees just waiting to fall in Taman’s where people live and drive to work everyday. Jangan tunggu lama lama. Please attend to the trees before more tragedy strikes.

City council chief has to come out and explain and take responsibility. Maintenance should have been done for these type of trees. Similar incident occured in Rawang and now in heart of the city. Stop hiding and come clean.

Guna logik akal. Pokok ukur lilit besar maknanya pokokdah tua. Bila dah tua tak kuat. Bila tak kuat boleh tumbang. Jadinya kena tebang pokok lama dan diganti denga pokok baru. Pokok lama besar dan teduh tak panas tetapi bila tumbang atas orang dan harta apa jadi. Sendiri mau ingat le. Bila dah jadi baru kelam kabut nk buat itu ini. The government should do this and that before mishap happen and after mishap had happened. This government never learn. Sama juga dengan banjir. Apa punca dan sebab banjir. Go and look for the cause. Is it cause by the heavy rain. Nak salahkan hujan lebat ke?????? Siapa yang turunkan hujan???????? Nak salahkan siapa yang turunkan hujan ke?????????? Come-on do something. Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya, kindly take action on these fallen tree and flood issues. Do not just collect tax, assessment rate. Each time when there is a heavy rain, there will be a fallen tree and flash flood issues. Do not expect others to pull your ears on what to do. Be pro active and think out of the box. The people, citizen are fed-up with the flash flood and fallen tree issues. You are paid to perform your job.

The politicians are too busy taking issue with the socks with certain words on it. The public safety, honesty is secondary to them... to take issues with the socks to gain political mileage is more important. Wheres that politician who was barking about the socks issues ? Why has he stop barking?

It is shared responsibility between Jabatan Perhutanan and DBKL. For pbt to cut or trim certain trees,pbt needs the Jabatan Perhutanan's approval. Some trees cannot be cut because of the $$$ value as per Jabatan's sop. Not sure about this fallen tree
