That auto transmission is silly with it's gear spacing. It's like Honda took a 4 speed auto just crammed another gear in there. The 2nd gen TSX actually seems like its 5 speed auto was thought through.

If anyone living in a cold climate is watching, don't do the side mirror fold in the winter... it ruins the motor in the mirror from being frozen in place

As a daily the insurance and maintenance is so much cheaper on the base - eat that type-s master race - In the future I would simply spend the money to get a true sports car. Keep in mind mechanically the stock type-s is no where close to a true sports car until you spend thousands of dollars in upgrades.

1. What engine oil do u use? In case u use other than bmw original oil. 2. What about engine cooling? Is the factory one is enough if there is heat 40 degrees celcius or more? 3. Interesting to know more about 2017 jcw automatic transmission. Of course if u know smthn about it. Maintainance, oil, lifetime. Thanks

i just took my 20 year old 2004 rsx base into the canadian rockies on a 2500 km journey. the vtec was amazing to experience at 140 km+/h going up the steep inclines. i rarely drive this car that fast and having endless highways in sight for the rsx to go 120 km+ for hours at a time was great for cleaning up the internals of this 220k km mileage car.

It's very confusing how chassis braces change anything. It would mean that the factory braces actually twist under certain conditions which is confusing because they are made out of metal.

The price on these has basically doubled in a year 😢 nicer used models are easily at ten gs on autotrader. My area Craigslist is useless. I love in south Texas. I thibk the majority of cars even used offerings down here are new because cars cant survive torrential flooding and hurricanes 😂😂😂 when I buy my next car I will probably travel or have it delivered down here adding to the purchase😢

987.2 2.9L is a very smart choice as new engine yet only one in line-up that is non DFI. Hydraulic steering final years never equaled. I swear prior 987.1 engine sounded better per Variocam changes at 5k n 6k. Sigh. While lacking torque of bigger 911 motors, a supremely balanced vehicle whose key strength is in the curves. Love my 99 996.1 cable throttle manual 911, yet 987.2 PDK I also own is a sweetheart (3rd Boxsterexperience), good build quality, and likely far lower running costs than 911.

Very nice car. I purchased a 987.2 Boxster S with a PDK. My only regret is the same as yours, should have got the manual. I just purchased a 986.2 2004 Base with a manual. The car is Carmona red metallic which I love. It has a full saddle leather interior. I'm really enjoying both cars. Enjoyed the video.

Hi Kevin, Just got an 04 RSX auto with very low miles. What exactly would you recommend I do for the suspension? Please keep in mind, I just like to cruise in it, not race it. I wouldn't mind improving the handling at all, I just don't want to feel every bump or pothole on the road. Thanks!
