I make wooden wands, and there are certain plants/trees that have natural abilities to protect, such as teak, birch, cedar, pine just to name a few. If you can find any of these types of woods, it doesn't have to be a wand, they may be helpful to protect and cleanse during any spell work or meditation. Also, keep by your crystals to recharge, especially cedar. :)

I see this particular issue as one of self-protection and protection of women (and children) in general. When people play dirty (especially those who we either pay or elect to protect us), all is fair ... A fair analog is, I believe, how do you protect yourself against an armed rapist? You need a lot of good protection on your side ... hence, prayer, magic, etc. To me, this is defensive magic, not offensive. Sorry, but if there are groups of "men" (and thier cohorts, no matter their gender) that are the first to threaten, anything done to protect ourselves is defensive. I don't think it's out of line spiritually to put out into the universe that everything they wish to do to others (especially the most vulnerable) comes back to them tenfold.
