As a Canadian citizen, I believe it is time for our country to fully sever ties with the British monarchy. While the monarchy played a significant role in our history, Canada has long established its identity as an independent and diverse nation. Moving forward, we should focus on governing ourselves without the symbolic ties to a foreign institution that no longer reflects the values or aspirations of modern Canada. It’s time to embrace a future where we stand on our own, free from colonial traditions.

This is a really frustrating watch. Please don't be cheap when travelling. You missed out on a dining experience in a country that doesn't pump its food full of dangerous chemicals, refused to pay for the boat tour, then complained that the tour wasn't worth it. And eating those rotten sandwiches instead of a nice meal? Please stop being American and try to relax when you're abroad. As someone who's done this tour before, you missed out on a fantastic experience. It's a must-see, must-do if, like me, you can't drive.

Hey there! Thanks so much for watching and leaving your comment! You're totally right about the amazing food in Scotland. We absolutely loved it! On that particular day, we were just trying to be budget-conscious since eating out in touristy area can add up quickly. As travel lovers who try to travel as cheaply as possible, we try to find ways to save here and there so we can explore more places. And hey, there's no shame in a good peanut butter sandwich! They can be surprisingly delicious after a full day of adventuring. Just wanted to clarify that I did mention near the end of the video that the tour is definitely worth it for people who don't like driving in another country or can't drive. Anyway, thanks again for watching! Wishing you all the best in your future travels!

It is an interesting argument but a static one. Nothing new has been added to either side for a long time. It is important to note however that the reigning monarch of the United Kingdom is not just a part of government that can be voted in and out. The king is where the power that the UK government acts with comes from (HM police service, HM prisons, HM post office, HM government, HM Treasury, etc.) No part of the collective documents making up the "constitution" of the UK revokes the rights and power over the land and people of the United Kingdom nor would it have any right to. The UK is the land of the crown not of the people. The people are allowed to live on the land. "Allowed" may seem like a weird or derogatory word in this case "who is he to "allow" us anything" but this is not unique to countries with monarchies. Stop working in your own country and you will lose your house, land, and belongings. Commit the right crimes and you will be held against your will. The king is now an uncorruptable power. People want an elected head of state yet elected officials are too often there to serve their own agenda. The King by definition cannot sell out their country for benefit as they would end up being king of a land they have no right to. It is good for the monarch when their country does well. Take any MP who is doing financially well in the current governing party in the UK (Conservatives) and they will have a house abroad somewhere because they are going to sell the country off bit by bit and then get out whilst it crumbles. The king cannot do that as easily.
