I love how men looked and talked back then, in the movies. Short, neatly quaffed hair, no facial hair, lean, and business suits! Most had deep voices. Nowadays most "males" have disgusting stringy beards, goatees, tatoos, fat, wear flip flops, baseball hats, etc. No wonder women prefer cats.😢😢😢

I love the narration just like The Night Stalker.

I believe they were expecting to do more in this series or leaving to door open.

It was just a movie of the week, originally they had Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly in mind but neither were interested.

@@cmcb09 check out the Tales From The Darkside episode, Distant Signals. McGavin plays a washed up actor, who once played in a P.I. series called Max Paradise. The character was a private investigator, who grew up in an orphanage just like David Ross. I think the writers may have been a fan of The Outsider.

I saw this when it first aired, and never since. I couldn't recall the title, so I finally searched using the character names. And here it is, for all these years sitting here waiting for me.

Barbara Eden already passed away long time ago. But we miss her . Something in the woods is bad. Very suspicious about little girls. These people know something or hide something .

It's good that mentally challenged people are now allowed to find their abilities and use them. I guess decades ago people just assumed that they didn't have any potential.

Lesley Ann Warren appeared in Rogers and Hammersteins "Cinderella" in the 1960's and it also featured Ginger Rogers .

What a lame script. Almost nothing juicy for the actors to do. Almost no drama. Almost no INTEREST. <yawn> And on top of this, in the end, a totally absurd story.

Beautiful and bittersweet. 💔 Sadly, Jill Clayburgh would die in real life of leukemia, just like her character in this movie.

For a 1980 TV movie its good! A very low budget , Dis seems as if he will DIScompose any minute. Don Johnson looks too short in his uniform. Miss Gless steals the show with a true acting ability! Miss Roper gets waay too much screen time ,however the story will keep you guessing . A truly comical ending, again it keeps you guessing . I will re watch.

The music score was AWFUL, but the storyline, cast & actual acting were quite good!! The murderer was NOT who I thought it was, at all. Nice to see SO MANY truly gifted character actors from classic Westerns in this!! And, how interesting to have a serious mystery w/such a comedic twist!! VERY WELL DONE!! Until now, my two favorite Widmark movies were probably Two Rode Together & The Last Wagon!!

Ryan O'Neal was a young, talented actor who became an American heart-throb, it was great while it lasted (so I've heard)
@jennamcqueen80595 күн бұрын
Those mod years and fashions, wow, it's was a different world back then, it's just so different, it's hard to imagine. .....Great actors from the 60's, but Ryan O'Neal suddenly became a hearthrob after 'Love Story' was released in 1970.....He's movie career took off, he made some great movies ' What's up Doc? With Barbra Streisand & The thief who came to dinner and Jacqueline Bissett, however, there were a few movies that weren't successful at the box office, but he ended the 70's with one of the funniest comedies of all time, ' 'The Main Event' in '79 starring Barbra Streisand.
