Nope, slaves came in every color. The word itself is from Eastern Europe a place called Slovenia, where slavic people live. All the Mediterranean, middle east, africa, all of asia, everywhere with written history has a history of slavery. The only places that changed the norm and fight against slavery were France, Britain, and the newly formed United States. Guess what color/ethnicity people were in charge at the time... Yep, the ol "whites".

Thanks to dems race baiting because they need the black vote the issue kept alive. Every country has social discrimination in some form. America has made the greatest gains in dealing with this issue but you won’t know it thanks to democrats dogma! Most folks just want to be left alone and get along.

It used to be now it's a Lil. What I mean is by a Lil is If a white man says a semi racist thing he gets attacked from all sides. He gets docked, they fire him from his job, friends disown him. But if a Black man says some racist about white man every one laughs. 😂 So I believe if we stop talking about racism we can all live our lives. The white man cares about his job, his kids security and future career and his money. While some minorities black or brown keep bringing up the unfairness of the white man. We (minorities) should think about our jobs, our children's security security and their careers. Instead of bringing this up. Life is short enjoy it. We live in the best country in the world!!

The reality is tough to swallow because by nature our human brains want simple solutions. The simple solution would be yeah there was slavery and thus this is a racist country in origin. The hard hitting reality is that the United States is not a racist country. If you start by understanding that slavery and racism are seperate issues, it helps alot. Throughout history, slavery was a way to get by coming from the lowest points of society, consequence of war, and consequence of atrocity commited by any particular country or sovereign state at any given point in time by particular administrations of that country or state. Also in pockets of power within countries and states. It's super complex and super unfortunate throughout almost all time. Not unique to any ethnicity. If that is your starting position (you know, actual reality, not your simplified version of it.) Then it is easier to understand that if you really want to play this comparison game and look through this lense, the US is actually verifiably the least racist country. The only country on earth to pen the constitution, commence, and maintain the constitutional republic. It was born in a time where slavery was still morally tolerable. The brilliant, free, and masonic intellectuals who structured our union eventually penned in ammendments to reconcile the reality, that which humans took a long time to learn, all men are equal regardless of ethnicity, color of skin, religion, or creed. Such is the starting position of good faith. Such is the starting position of a society which could prosper based on merit and productivity that serves healthy life. Why play games when we can ask the most important question of all time. Where does the buck stop? Let it stop with us. Yes, stragglers fought for their race-based perceptions. Few remainders do to this day. What has changed other than the overwhelming increase in the number of people who realize, it is not the color of your skin, but the content of your character? If only we can realize that so many of today's battles are actually us vs ourselves as individuals. To say a nation which was the first and only to fundamentally destroy such an atrocious institution and ultimately the laws which segregated environments and opportunities based on race, simply because a few racists still exist, is utterly disingenuous, unnapreciative of the greatest advances in human rights, and simply reprehensible. If you disagree, you proabably just still live with your parents, leech off of someone, or have no regard for the reality of human history, how we have arrived to this moment, and how lucky we all are for it to be so stable and for us to have the economic mobility and opportunities that we do, relatively speaking ofcourse. At this point you might just be a brat who doesnt want to carry their own weight and therefore the enemy, skin color doesn't produce productivity which raises children and brings prosperity, people do, one day at a time, with the commitment of trying harder today than yesterday. I dont care for rebloodicans or democrips particularly, i just want to shoot the shit how it is in hopes someone will listen and realize that just one day at a time, they can better themselves with hardwork, discipline, and good faith in their fellow US citizen. We all get screwed here and there but lets focus on productivity, learn from our mistakes, withdraw from those who prove themselves unworthy in the face of grace, and let the buck stop with us. I try to be less shitty than yesterday and i encourage you to do the same.

How do you explain the KKK (other than as the enforcement arm of the Democratic party)? How do you explain the 60 day filibuster against the Civil Rights Act (conducted by the Democrats)? Biden embraced KKK member Robert Byrd. Perhaps the "journalist" should be asking that question of Biden.

But, because you're killed as higher percentage you think only black has it bad - am I right? Look man, God created our energy, and NRG never dies. It just changes form. I've been on the planet for 50 tours round the sun and in my lifetime I've seen race relations go from mixed, to good, to worse now than ever before. Now you've gotta ask yourself... why is it worse now than when I was a kid? The only places worse were back in the 70s in deep south positions like parts of Alabama, Mississippi, where ACTUAL REAL racism was kept alive since before the Civil War. But black Americans today have disproportionate access to all areas of life. They get more grant money, more preference in hiring, more preference in college entrance, etc. It's absolutely ridiculous that you're talking about being oppressed by white people when the only ones oppressing you now are yourselves and the psychopath elitists who've always oppressed everyone since the dawn of time. The bigger issue in modern 2020s America is why media has been so hyper focused on making racism an issue again. People outta be talking about THAT.

This is a lot more complicated than people would like it to be. On a federal and practically all state levels, the country currently gives the same opportunities to everyone in a legal sense. Regardless of race or gender, you can vote, buy land, apply for any job or school, receive the same healthcare, etc… now does that mean individuals won’t be racist? Of course not, but legally speaking racism doesn’t exist in America when it comes to opportunities (and in fact you actually have more benefits as a person of color than someone who is just white). In the past obviously this wasn’t always the case and while some natives and blacks were free, the majority of minorities were not even seen as people and thus were not entitled to any rights. However to compare the country now to even how it was 60 years ago and say it’s more racist is just silly, it’s clear massive progress has been made and as stated before, legally everyone has the same rights now. (Aside from men exclusively being obligated to sign up for selective service).

It's not in the wording of the but rather in the application. And I want to preface this by saying, integration will probably sort this out in the next couple of generations. People in their 60&s and 70'were born in the 50's and 60's when it was not only socially acceptable, but encouraged to be racist. While it is both true that our culture now rebukes racism and that a large percentage of the population rebuked racism as well, it is just as true that another large percentage of the population did not discard the teaching of their literal parents, preacher, teachers, and politicians. That's why we keep seeing these underhanded tactics like underfunding, predominantly minority school districts. (Example of application vs. Wording of laws). But like I said, Integration is doing wonders. It's hard to indiscriminately hate a group of people when you actually know them on a personal basis. Still, give it another generation or two to allow for the fixing of the final issues, and don't be swayed by people trying to cope with a guilt that isn't theirs. They should have never felt guilty about it in the first place.

I think it was, then times changed and then no body really cared about it. But when someone’s attitude is about how they’re not treated fairly all the time even though they’re treated just as fair people get to the point where they get tired of hearing them cry all the time. People just get tired of being around it. Then when Democrats took over that was the main focus, and always has been creating a separate people to keep everybody unable to stand up with each other.

@user-ww1ex8st7u so tim takes algebra 1. He gets 30%. That's a failing grade. He takes it again the next year. Gets a 59%. He did better for certain. Is that not still a failing grade? For the liars in the front of the room. Yes it's still a failing grade. Before Obama got elected, I would have mostly agreed with you. There was still ridiculous amount of cops screaming "n****r" as they beat black people but we all know the KKK and other supremacist groups intentionally occupied as many law enforcement positions as possible starting in the 1950's onward. We do all know that right? Then Obama got elected and I didnt expect to hear that many normal Americans call him monkey, n*****, and whatever else they could use as an insult for his skin color. Trump got elected and they tried hanging random people in Alabama, until someone reminded them it's not 1964, like murder is the minimum bar for racism. So let's start this stupidly unnecessary list. There are still sundown towns in the u.s. (cities were it is common knowledge that minorities found after dark will most likely be assaulted). There numerous white supremacists training camps where they actively train for the future massacre of minorities. Predominantly minority schools are criminally underfunded. Traditional black hairstyles such as afro's or cornrows are seen as unprofessional for some weird reason. The constant rhetoric disparaging the black community. ( that may seem like an emotion but it is what led to cases like Zimmerman following and the subsequent murdering a 14 year old kid because he found him suspicious for walking in a neighborhood ). The amount of people who personally funded him merely because they didn't want him to be incarcerated for murdering a child. Yea we are definitely doing better than 1960's pick and n***** and hang him without consequences. Or 1830's pick a n**** and r*** her, and then her daughters without consequences. But that's a really low bar. I feel like I heard they were trying to reinstall voter i.d. laws to impact urban areas last election but it got shot down for being discriminatory. Everything is better than it's was, but remember people who are in their 70's were in their 10's and 20's during the racism accepting 1960's. There is no logical reason to think those people aren't still racist, especially following events all the way up to 2000. but good news is, in about 2 generations, this probably won't be a real issue anymore and y'all can stop with the cope and the cap

"Minorities" Look up the global population numbers. White people are the actual minority on this Earth at about 5% of the global population. Black people are over 22%. Hispanic and Asian are the rest. The actual "minority" has given you far more than you've ever given it, and on top of that if it wasn't for white Christian males, everyone on Earth would already be slave to a King or Emperor or hell, maybe we'd see a return of Pharoahs. Vermont wss the first nation to outlaw slavery. And white people bled and died next to minorities to ensure their freedom. Just stop.
