Nepotism. He has family in the industry is higher positions, he was friends with Steven Spielbergs kid and that kids mom is a casting director. His popularity is artificial. Also Hollywood now promotes twink prepubescent looking guys. His agent recently came out that he hasn't auditioned for shit in 7 years, he's nepotism. Timothee is super overrated and artificially pushed.

I fucking despise him and Tom Holland. They both just stare into the distance and act 'shy' and everyone seems to think that it's amazing acting. Literally fell asleep during Dune 1 because he bored me that much. I watched Wonka (not my choice) and I actually wanted to die. So overrated.

Yep... I can't stand the dude either! It was a total chore and an endurance test sitting through his scenes in those Dune flicks. He did not have the acting chops to carry those movies... but the rest of the cast did, and they had to carry him. Hell, they should've had Austin Butler play Paul, instead of him being a throw away villain in the sequel.

You do realise there would be no Dune without Timothée? Denis literally said if Timmy had said no he probably would've never made the movies. Plus he has a large range, it's important to judge someone's acting after seeing multiple things they're in, not just one

Well you lack actual arguments, but you're not wrong lol. He's absolutely mediocre (at best). He became popular among the gays after the call me by your name softcore and ever since then the industry is cashing in on that. He's definitely not good looking, he looks like washed out lesbian on crack, so I don't get the appeal either tbh. But it's beyond irking how the industry keeps shoving it in front of our faces, despite abysmal critical response every now and then.

I was curious to see who timothee chalamet was after hearing so much about this guy. I watched call me by your name and really liked it. I tried to watch his other movies one after the other, I really wanted him to be good but he was just so painful to watch in every one of them apart from call me by your name. I don’t understand people praising him for being a great actor. sure he has his moments but he’s definitely out of place for the fame and reputation that he has in terms of acting. I just don’t see it. I’ve seen amazing actors that deserve to take his place. I really wanted him to be good but his performances are lazy and just not great. Its insulting to the craft to be where he is at when he isn’t even that great at it. I hope he gets better overtime cause right now it seems like he should just stick to being a face

😂😂. Dude do something positive with your life. Spreading Negetivity is just shows how awful a person you are. Timothée Chalamet is best young actor. He has been compared with James Dean, Leonardo DiCaprio and Montgomery Clift. Just ask young or older actors they were all inspired by him after Call me by your Name. Meryl Streep even praises him.

Yeah I agree, I just ranted in front of a camera on a Monday night after work. I respect your opinion, but I still don't really care about his acting. We all have different outlooks on him, and I respect other people's opinions. I mostly did this as a joke.
