We’ve just subscribed - great to have local videos and Strava routes / cafes to reccy. I’m just about to invest in a new bike for winter. Current set up is a much loved classic Specialized Dolce for summer and a hefty Trek mountain bike for winter. I could do more with a good lightweight gravel bike round here in winter so looking at a couple - Specialized in Rutland let me take out their Crux Comp which was amazing. I’m also looking at Cube. Any suggestions welcome 😅 Good to see all your considerations for a winter bike!

Firstly welcome to the channel and thank you for subscribing, im trying to build it up still so appreciate that :) PS, don't forget to tell your cycling buddies ha. The channel is a mix of general vlogs/trips/mostly cycling. I see gravel bikes are really popular, but i struggle to understand them if im honest, ive got a mountain bike i use off road and then just a couple of road bikes for the road. I guess gravel bikes are good if riding a cross between road and off road, but i do like a suspension off road. It sounds like you have some good suggestions for a new bike, but id always recommend Canyon for bikes :)

Good to see the videos back on the channel.👍 I've got a couple of summer bikes. A 2011 Scott CR1 carbon, rim brake. 50mm wheels, but with an alloy braking surface. 2nd summer bike is a Scott Addict Di2 Ultegra disc. 2019 carbon. I love it, but still get out on the CR1 quite often, and it still puts a smile on my face. My winter steed is a Merida 500 disc, hydraulic Hope cailpers and rotors.,but with cable Ultrega. It always has full mudguards on it. Not really a fan of 'cartoon cycling'(turbo). But have got a Saris turbo with Ant +, which I use with MyWhoosh. Used to get terrible shoulder and neck ache, because there was no movement on the bike, but made myself a 'rockerplate'. It does the job just fine, and for almost neglible outlay financially. It's also got some quirky visual grahics, just to make the experience a bit less boring. You may have seen some pics of it on my Insta or Facebook page. I leave a very cheap bike, that I picked up, connected to it. Saves a lot of hassle putting a bike on and off it. Not to mention wear and tear on a decent bike. Keep the vids coming.
