What makes Jackie the best there is her voice enters into my heart and soul and feels my hole body with pure enjoyment where the other singers enter into my head and it stays there. They sound good but don’t give the pleasure that Jackie’s voice does. Thank you Jackie for your beauty and talent, you always make my day.

It's 2019 now and Jackie is getting even better! If that's even possible! She has moved a little towards pop. But I would really call it more like adult contemporary music. Still her best genres are opera arias and movie soundtracks. And yes to the one commenter below, Jackie Evancho has grown into a breathtakingly beautiful woman! Her personality is still as polite and charming as ever and so professional! I doubt that there's anyone more patriotic than she. Just listen to her sing God Bless America and you will know that somewhere in Heaven Kate Smith is smiling! God has Blessed us all with this living Angel!

Everytime I watch this vídeo I wish I could travel to the US just to shake the hands of the sound crew who set up the sound for Jackie's performance. They did exactly what a fan like me wants: Jackie's voice reigning above the accompaniment. Wonderful.

Her voice is effortless and shimmering. Listening to her in person is an experience that should not be missed. The sound envelopes you and is actually tactile!! Perfect in pitch, her sound has a psychedelic sense and you can almost see colors if you just relax and feel the music. Her growing maturity shines through, but one also now realizes how great it was to also hear her voice as that pre-teen. That had a different crystalline quality that might never be heard again for decades.

For the critics, bullies, and hypocrites-- hoe DARE they say Jackie is a "traitor" to the LGBTQ community when she lives it daily and came out in support of her sister when THAT alone could have hurt her career by potentially alienating her fans (are generally older -- given the fan base for Classical Crossover). Now they attacked her & her family b/c Juliette won't be there, when it turns out that Juliette's SRS surgery is scheduled for about the same time. It's highly appropriate that the family be there more for surgery than a performance (which can be seen on tape and if it goes poorly, little long term damage will occur whereas .....). These self indulgent "Haters who deplore Hate -- as long as it's not their own" need to take a good look in the mirror! (Which is as kind as I can state it.)

Someone please tell Jackie that her gesture at 09:05-09:10 is actually offensive for the French. Before the Battle of Agincourt, King Henry V said in a speech to his army that the French had threatened to chop off the index and middle fingers of every captured long bowman. After the English defeated the French, their long bowmen flashed their fingers to mock the French.

Bob Bartko Nearly two decades ago, I was in a Parisian restaurant, where a person at a nearby table got the attention of a waiter. He said aloud, in English, "I'd like two water (bottles), please." He gestured with his two fingers horizontal and the back of his hand facing the waiter. The French host jumped up, covered his hand, and said, "No, no. It's not good." He then turned to the waiter and said, "Désolé!" and ordered some fizzy bottled water in French. I gave my colleague a wide-eyed, quizzical look, so she asked her husband, who explained that it was an extremely rude gesture. To indicate "two", it's acceptable to signal with a Peace sign, but the hand should be vertical with the palm facing the other person. [Months later, I read a set of business etiquette booklets which gave the details.]

I think Jackie will enjoy Game of Thrones when she is old enough to understand the nuances of the series. She is a mature girl and I think she could watch it now, but I don't think that would go down well with her more conservative fans.

John Doe Exactly. I have seen one show that someone else brought over a DVD to watch with me, and it should be rated X. Just too much mature content for many. The story of the show is kinda of neat, but they show way more nudity than they need to. And its not just the nudity, its all kinds and sorts of sexual content. If her parents let her watch it before she is of age, I will be surprised. If I had a mature 14 year old in my house, they would never watch that show until they were 18.

Who is the woman interviewing!!!! How did she get a job ? With all the well spoken bright Young people out there looking for work in the profession of journalism. I'm bewilderd by what i've just listened to No ground work on the subject at all. Why does miss Evancho have to listen to inane people . Are they not screened before? Distinct lack of encadrement with which Jackie's Status today Should be in place Who is her Agent? He needs to work more in her best interest.

I've noticed that Jackie's voice is maturing extremely well. This poor interviewer should have been so lucky. She is fluent in speaking. She rarely ever uses the interjections ah, um, da etc. to buy time to think in any interview that she's done. I've seen many interviews where the interviewer hardly briefed themselves at all about Jackie. There is no excuse for it. I value this video for the pictures that it used. Check out foxfoxtruth Google+.

kinda glad she doesn't watch Game of thrones tbh, that show is very vulgar, nice interview from Brynn and it's very true that Jackie has some truely crazy range! Best part imho is that both her low and high sounds great, its a beautiful album from start to the end (My Immortal is the last song if you own a Japanese copy)

I wished the interviewer would get her stats right, and learn, after 4 years how to pronounce her name. She did not perform for British Royalty, it was the Royal Japanese Family. How she got British from that I will never know. Not sure where this interviewer is from, but she does not speak very clearly. I had a heck of a time understanding the questions. Jackie did an awesome job on this interview, especially not hesitating to ask the person to repeat what she asked, since Jackie did not under stand her well either...lol
@oahuhawaii214110 жыл бұрын
The interviewer, Brynn McKenry, wasn't too bad, but the quality of the podcast is fairly low. Surprisingly, Brynn's voice sounded like it was recorded from over a phone line, whereas Jackie's sounded like she was in the studio. I suppose that's the better situation for us listeners, if one side is going to be distorted. Anyway, I've listened for all references to "royalty" and I've found only one. Just after 05:28, Brynn says: "Well, you still managed to have some great stage presence when you're out on that stage, whether it's something like America's Got Talent, performing for royalty and the President, touring the world. So, do you have any ..." BTW, the podcast's date is 2014-11-01, however, the actual interview must have happened between AGT 2014 and early October. Jackie mistakenly says her new album, "Awakening", contains a song she had written; in much earlier interviews, she had identified it as "The Sun and The Moon". Jackie stopped mentioning this point by mid-October, as that song is not on the album. I believe there was some miscommunication between her management team and the record producer. She had sung a bunch of songs in early 2014, but the tracks were finished many months later -- the orchestra and choir from Hungary* were added separately, and additional sounds and adjustments were included in the studio before the final product was completed. Nobody told her that her song didn't make the final cut. To her credit, though, Jean-Pierre Steyn wrote "Made to Dream" specifically for Jackie's album. [* Clarification: Budapest Concert Orchestra and the Budapest City Choir -- from liner notes for "Awakening" CD.]

I would have liked to hear what she thinks about Amira Willighagen and the older Greek-British performer Aliki who recently sang on Holland's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent, respectively. Now that she is so famous, would she like to give a hand up to some of these lesser knowns or does she feel competitive towards them? I know she has sung with Josh ? who was later in a trio on America's Got Talent and they did quite well. Also, I know her older brother has performed publicly but not professionally. Are her younger two siblings anticipating doing that at all? I think her recent pop song was not memorable but very pleasant. I liked her comment that she said her "voice doesn't like singing pop." I saw her in concert once and enjoyed it but she did not sing any arias or one of my favorites "Lovers." Oh well. She has a long career ahead of her and I am so glad to have heard her and know that she is proving the naysayers wrong. She is still able to sing and she still has a great outlook and personality. I know she will never go the way of some others such as "Smiley Papyrus. " I may be old fashioned but I think "twirking" is so demeaning.

I think she can cover country songs, but ones that have been arranged to suit her voice. For example; Dolly Parton's 'I Will Always Love You' has numerous versions ranging from Willie Nelson's to Whitney Houston's. Too bad the Colonel would not let Elvis cover it. Would be nice if Jackie had a go at it in her style.

Actually, if you Google Jackie Evancho, "I will always Love You", you will find her performing that very number, in her style of coarse.

yes! I actually liked that the interviewer talked about Lady Gaga as Jackie Evancho likes her. I considered that more important then mentioning that Jackie also had performed with Tony Bennett. I disagree with some of the comments here. People have to understand that Mr. Steele has a particular audience he has to satisfy, not to mention his sponsors as well, even though Jackie fans have heard these questions before. Many people that comprise his audience probably have never even heard of Jackie Evancho. I think the interview was well thought out and I hope her concert goes well and garners her new fans.

She may never be as well know or popular as lets say the "pop" stars. But an incredible career non the less
