As great as Shaq was he just won't admit he underachieved. He was overweight and lazy at times. He could have been in the same conversation as MJ.

Anger is the reflex of shame. Any time you see Shaq get mad or defensive about his playing, it's because deep down he knows he had the potential to be better than he was. He knows that as great as he actually was, he could have been in conversation for greatest ever.
