J'ai vu ce film au cinéma quand j'étais adolescent. Plus tard, au milieu des années 1980, je revoyais ce film en casstte Bêta. Plus récemment, j'ai reçu gratuitement une copie 25eme anniversaire en DVD. En en voyant des extraits je me disais: "Comment ça je riais au cinéma?". Comment ça je trouvais ça drôle?'. Un film de piètre qualité. Tant mieux pour ceux qui ont aimé ce film et l'aiment encore aujourd'hui. Je respecte leur opinion, mais je ne la partage pas. Langage grossier et vulgaire avec des scènes déplacées. Je ne veux plus jamais revoir ce film.

Ahhhh one of my favorite childhood memories. I was lucky enough to go to a game when I was around 9 or 10 and I remember the game over sign flashing. I nearly lost my voice screaming. This man was one of my heroes at that age and is still an athlete I revere to this day. Cy young award winning closer. And Gagne was certainly one of the best closers to ever grace a mound.

Back when closers were superstars and legit movie characters with their garb and antics. Gagne, Rod Beck, K-Rod, Trevor Hoffman, Ill throw in Eckersley, Wetteland, and of course, Mariano.
