Definitely look for scholarships when applying. Also research your major and department prior to coming to Morgan. Definitely plan to get invloved on campus

My Son went to Morgan fall 2017 BAND MEMBER , he’s back home for a few semesters but will be returning but Morgan needs to have more food options. Vegan /Vegetarian/international foods. We spent hundreds of dollars on Dorm food because he couldn’t stomach the caf’ that was our only issue with MORGAN

Nay Keorra this room was bigger than all the other ones in the honors dorm because it’s the handicap room. I’m in a different room this year that’s the normal smaller size so hopefully I’ll be able to show that as well

For fall 2018 at Morgan, I hope to earn the minimum 3.30 GPA in order to be apart of the honors program. Is it difficult to earn @ the aforementioned GPA?

In my experience, it has not been hard to maintain that GPA. I try to stay on top of all my assignments throughout the semester and study for exams ahead of time. Also getting to know your professors can help too.

Hey i have a question (you may not know the answer and that’s cool) so you know with dorm room housing and room self selection and how you have a deadline to go in and pick the self selection room. If you don’t do that ( cause i didn’t go in and do the self selection room) do you still get a dorm room. I’m kind of freaking out right now cause i just open up my email and found out i missed the deadline. I may have to call

My gpa was a 4.2 by my sat was only 1140 so i couldnt get the full scholarship. I was offered the honors scholarship for 7,000 a year but when i implied they never got back to me.

I would try emailing them again or calling the honors office. also check on the website to see if they updated or changed the scholarship requirements

How hard are the classes? Do you feel the teachers are fair and willing to work with you?

I don't find the classes super hard as long as you stay on top on all the assignments. Just make sure you manage your time well. Most teachers have been fair in my experience. I would advise going to their office hours too.

Do you have to bring your own bed risers? How many showers are in the honors dorm for the 4 students to share?

yes. the beds are pretty high to me though. also the legs are thick so it's hard to get bed risers to fit. it's one shower for the 4 students to share in the honors dorm

Tamika Abraham cool! I’ll be living there again too lol yes there’s WiFi and I also believe there is cable. Also most rooms are a lot smaller than this. I just had the handicap room this past semester

No. The only furniture provided by Morgan is the bed, the desk, the drawers, and the closet. You have to get your own microwave, fridge, etc.

morgan is safe on campus. just keep in mind that it is in an urban city. my roommate is great. most people are pretty friendly and welcoming

its a few days on campus and you get a feel for the university. it's really fun and gives you an opportunity to meet current students and incoming freshmen too

I went on a tour 4 days ago and fell in love with the school but i'm from North Carolina, so it's pretty far. I want to go but the price is definitely a lot mor as far as out of state tuition, but still affordable. I'm about to be a junior in highschool so i still have time to decide but i really love the school.

you should definitely look into scholarships if you love the school. morgan offers scholarships when you apply as well if you meet the requirements ☺️

I applied to Morgan. Made sure to meet their November 15th deadline. Got a 1330 on my SAT. An unevaluated GPA of 3.5/4.0 and an Evaluated GPA of 4.0/4.0 I got accepted for fall 2018, offered a space in the honors college. But I didn’t get a scholarship because someone erroneously had my GPA as a 2.5 instead of a 3.5 and after correcting it, they are saying that all of my stuff wasn’t in my November 15th, when in fact it was. At this point I’m just demotivated to even go to college because MSU was my 1st choice in all my other universities and I was really excited to start actuarial science there. I’m hoping the honors college and admissions gets back to me soon concerning the issue

Imani Amira yeah they aren’t fixing it and I’m not getting the scholarship. I’m being put on a wait list and I don’t what are my chances on that wait list. At this point I’m over it 🤷🏽‍♀️ Morgan just isn’t for me
