Storyboard and cut. Need to give this film a re-watch. Wright knows how to cut. Particularly, in Scott Pilgrim. Still waiting on that Sky Ferreira album.

Thanks for this analysis! I'm actually searching videos about how we represent texting in movies and this one was very useful! Now I don't know what's the better way of illustrating text messages in a movie haha...

I feel like those texts are from Maureen's subconscious mind. It knows where she is, what she wants, etc. that in fact Lewis wasn't exactly following her nor he's showing her any signs, it was all just her. It's all made up by her. No wonder she asks herself in the last scene and a thud answers yes.
