I couldn't get my doctors to do a test in my calf or thigh no matter how much I begged them. May I add to your list of reasons to measure at alternate positions a person who has little to no hair growing on their legs and or calf muscles. No hair could mean that nutrients and the like aren't getting to those ares and further investigation as to why that is should be explored.

Thank you for the helpful video. Suggestion: the closed captions would benefit from hand-editing. For example, the terms auscultatory, oscillatory, and auditory are transposed in the automatic translation (auditory seems to be the most frequent default term used). It's not just this video, but also the other videos in this excellent series.

So you mentioned the side of body? Why would which side of the body matter when taking your blood pressure? Does it matter if one side is more injured than the other when getting results? If you have a blood clot in your lower half would it affect your upper body blood pressure or would that stay the same as a normal reading? How would you recommend taking blood pressure on a POTS, TOS, and Familial Erythrocytosis patient?

RN with 17 years of experience here 👋🏽 to preface this I’m typing this at 1am after working a 16 hour shift so please disregard any typos and the highly informal and non scientific terminology. I believe in speaking in layman’s vernacular wholeheartedly…. ESPECIALLY when I’m not on the clock or wearing scrubs 😂) With experience in every kind of environment you can think of from Outpatient same day surgeries, to Psychiatric nursing to wound care, to 4 very different ICU Units including PICU ( pediatric intensive care units) to Operating rooms to pediatric operating theatres in a childrens hospital i worked at for 6 years ( honestly it was too heart breaking after awhile and I had to go. Once I became a parent myself I didn’t last another year there. It was too much mentally, spiritually, psychologically, etc) to a level 1 trauma unit where I’d have an average of 25-30 gunshot wound victims/ stab wound or other blunt force resume injuries not including MVAs (Motor vehicle accidents) I live in the NYC/ NJ tri state area. It matters because autonomic phenomena creates results that aren’t completely accurate to what your true blood pressure is. Femoral cuffs are typically used in the operating room setting or in settings where emergency traumas require surgeries on parts of the body that are injured. For instance, you typically would want to put a femoral cuff on the left thigh or lower if you suspect a clot but almost always above where you think one may be in the lower extremities as to not dislodge the clot. Also, you’ll see the cuff placed on lower extremities in the OR because you wouldn’t want to place a cuff on the same limb you have anesthesia or other vital medications going into the patient because it can disrupt their dosing and could possibly cause sedation to cease long enough for a patient to awaken during a procedure. Or you’ll have a situation where blood pressure controlling or heart attack preventative/ blood pressure controlling medications are used in an open heart surgery or other major organ surgery and it’s long enough to cause a disruption in steady rhythmic consistency in a compromised person who are high risk for negative outcomes. Also, with some bariatric patients you may have complications in even getting a accurate pressure reading under normal non O.R conditions. Such as getting an accurate read at a drs appointment or inpatient admission setting on a hospital floor. So you’ll find the place on their body with the least amount of tissue depth between their veins and the blood pressure cuff. Nowadays, you can get a more accurate reading from a ECG machine that shows heart function. Almost always someone with a high pressure will also have a high pulse and respiratory numbers may also be indicators of such. Another situation is someone who is on dialysis and has a port. You’d NEVER want to place a cuff on the same limb as that port for obvious reasons. Just like certain stroke or aneurysm patients, believe it or not cuff placement is critical when you’re dealing with certain conditions, peoples physical builds, etc

At my youthful age at 26 years of age, I have already commenced getting medi cines to deal with my blood pressure problems. Of all the alternative I have personally tried out, , Notovα Shocking Plan (Go ogle it) is the one that has shown to work on my blood pressure. The medications prescribed to me to have weren`t of used any more after a month of consistently making use of this manual.

It will be helpful if you can provide a chart/ weekly schedule of an exercise program which can include maybe strength training twice a week, endurance thrice a week (walking, pool exercises. treadmill) and a education class once a week on various topics like when to get in touch with doctor; what is covid; hobbies in which patient can indulge etc.

Not a long time ago, in reality only just day or two had went by, I attempted to apply this blood pressure plan of action , Notovα Shocking Plan (Go ogle it) and development followed right away. It has stabilized my blood pressure, no question about that. I have noticed major betterment in just 20 days of making use of this strategy. After Twenty five days my pressure is normal (for me) 120/55..

Very helpful. Excellent presentation. I do feel concern because the acuity level of our patients is so so high and their activity level is so limited. Will have to extrapolate down as most of our patients cannot even do a 2 min. step test.

Not a very long time ago, in reality just simply couple of days had went by, I tried to put into action this blood pressure level course of action and improvement followed immediately. It has stabilized my blood pressure, no question about that. In the short period of time of SOMETHING LIKE 20 days, my blood pressure level decreased. Five more days and nights went by and my pressure is at the normal level at 120/55... I researched about this guidebook by Google. Name of this guidebook is Jason Cυnobroke With thanks
