THANK YOU. Other people's videos with tons of views were unhelpful for me, they basically just said "punch needle by punching the needle" with no explanation of technique. I need videos that assume I've never touched any form of fiber art in my life.

Can you add gripper strips to the stretcher bars? Keep it together for future projects?
@harveydales24024 ай бұрын
I don't know, but watching you cut those strips, I was thinking a person should wear eye protection. I would not want to see any of those prongs fly into your eye.

Yes it did stay tight. Making it as tight as possible will help with this.

I see this is a 3yr old video but I NEED guidance so if ANYONE can help PLEASE I'm a total beginner with a very specific project I'm mind. I have a couch that I'm revitalizing & it doesn't have its og cushions. So..... seeing as how I've got to make cushions anyway, shouldn't they be great? Yes, I'm talking upholstery but I'm only thinking one side.....I'm not totally crazy Yet But I don't know which cloth weight, what size needle, what yarn even. I assume wool but what about cotton? I don't know size. I don't KNOW anything. I've got a little kit to practice but this & that won't be the same Can anyone help? Please. I've searched for cushion embroidery, upholstery punch & get nothing.
@Princess33Ай бұрын
They usually use monks cloth for punch needling and size 4 yarn weight works well with the regular punch needles!

I looked on North Shore Crafters and was not able to find you Super Punch punch needle. Where can it be purchased? Today's date is 11/9/23.
@ShawnaFosket Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I didn't get enough funding for an initial run order so I wasn't able to make the tool. It was meant to be. The Oxford is a great tool, it is the one I would recommend purchasing. And 8 regular or 10 regular Oxford would work great!

Can you give some options of glue for the backing (which can be washed )? Its difficult to figure out which glue should be used.
@ShawnaFosket Жыл бұрын
You can wash punch needle without glue. Glue is typically not needed. If you still want to use a glue, the PVA glue I link above will work to be washed.
