Good job, So I only watched it it once. Did you still need to drop the tank with those spacers even though the ball fell In to the tank ?

as in the video, I lowered the entire tank about an inch and a half to give a little more gravity flow. our fill hose was almost level with the midpoint of the tank so it would shut off the gas nozzle when filling. also the inside of the tank has a small float ball that stops flow out of the tank when sloshing. ours was stuck almost closed when we got it so I assume the fuel varnished and got sticky. I poked it loose and it fills much better now.

We opted to go with the Gen Y Executive Gooseneck model so we could get rid of the 5th wheel hitch in the bed all together. Its great having use of the truck bed once we unhook the RV.

At the time , that wasn’t available. The Goosebox was but I knew it takes a lot more precise line up to connnect. The gooseneck style from Gen Y will be the next one for sure. Thanks for the comment!

Those are just cheap stick on ones I found at a local auto parts store. They fit the shape pretty well. Thanks !

I got these added to my RV propane tanks, but reading now that it says they may shut off the propane when temps get down to freezing. My primary use for the propane is the furnace overnight when it's below freezing. So it sounds like I shouldn't use this device? I'm very disappointed. 😞 Something I'm missing?

We have only gotten down to around 40 degrees (Phoenix area) and had no problem with furnace or stove . Quote from their site= WILL GASSTOP OPERATE AT LOW TEMPERATURES? You may notice that in colder temperatures (below 0oC/32oF), an EFV (GasStop) may shut-off more readily when used with higher demand appliances and/or on longer length pipework. For optimum results try where possible to use your LPG system above 0oC/32oF. Our furnace is pretty close to the tanks so its a shorter pipe run. If it does become a problem, I will be looking for something better. Thanks for the comment!
