Reminds me of the kitchen in the old Lock House I owned on my farm in the Eastern Appalachians of Kentucky. That was 45 years ago lol. A Wee bit too shabby and cluttered for my liking. Once you live it , it loses the appeal.

It is realistic. All the wood furniture in my house was either thrifted, found at auction, antiques, or bought off Craigslist etc. Even a few of my upholstered pieces too! And I constantly get comments on my decor. You can do it cheaply if you really look.

It's getting harder to find those classic pieces. Some vintage stores and antique shops still carry them. Sometimes, you can get lucky on websites like Etsy or eBay. If you're up for a bit of DIY, you could always add a skirt to a piece you already have. It's a bit of a throwback, but it's worth it for that unique, nostalgic charm. ❤

I love Grandma inspired home decor... my great grandma had dark green painted walls and maroon covered couch, and the woods were dark oak and mahogany polished surfaces. Touches of oriental screens, decor pieces on mantle and ceramic ginger jar lamps. Moody landscapes and ancestor photos on walls. Bedrooms were decorated with embroidery and lace and quilts. ***No white painted stuff til you get to the kitchen which was painted cabinets in white trimmed with a medium green. Floral curtains and tabel coverings, floral or blue and white dishes, white enameled stove with red knobs.

Some of the rooms look cozy, so there's that. However, I burst out laughing when I saw the living room at 21:41 - I don't know any grandma (including myself) who'd be able to get up off of those sofas! Perhaps we could roll over to the side and call for a grandchild for help. LOL, those sofas need legs.
