Very informative video. Are the pickled worms just as good as fresh worms?
@thebeardedfisher28 күн бұрын
Thanks man. Sometimes they work better as the pickle make them a bit tougher so the fish can remove it as easy as a fresh worm

Why braid and braid leader and fluoro and then hooksnoot? Why fluoro onto leader?
@thebeardedfisher3 ай бұрын
Hi Fazludin, I like fishing with braid as it's more sensitive than mono, there is no stretch in braid so you don't have to pull forever to break off, and when u break off it's 99% of the time your hook or sinker. Braid leader gives your braid top shot protection if you cast over a mussel bed or if a fish takes u into the rocks. I like n short piece of mono between the leader and trace to keep the braid leader from tangling with your swivel and trace in rougher water. Hope it makes sense.

@thebeardedfisher3 ай бұрын
@Mantie243 yeah I know. The last trip before this one I got 6 Galjoen and a Cape bream. Didn't expect anything, didn't even pack the filming gear. But this year it went a bit slow. I can definitely try Lambertsbay. Know of a few spots there.
@ArmandSteenkamp13 ай бұрын
I have a friend in lamberts that caught a young cobbie and 2 bus galjoen somewhere. But he keeps his spots to himself. Whant to make a mission there myself when I get a chance. Lots of unexplored areas from Lamberts up north

Nice presentation on the white muscles. Would you use that second presentation for kob more than the first one due to the movement of that foot?
@thebeardedfisher3 ай бұрын
Thanks man. Yes you definitely could. Perhaps do 2 or 3 mussels then to have a bigger bait. But I have caught young cob on the 1st one as well.

Deon, people say the silver Kob go offshore into the deeper water and the Dusky Kob generally migrate up the coast towards Transkei to spawn in the estuaries.
@johnlighton70253 ай бұрын
I'm in hout bay. There are pictures of the old days of kob being trek netted off the beach here. They say there's 5% of the population left..
