I dont know this hi tech ones I bought this sony for 100 euro was normal price 5 years ago since than soared to 700 euro t ıcom 8600 I would like to try for a week seems to me awesome . I have airspy dont believe 8600 performs better than airspy . What y think?

No sometimes this sync cause additional noise but sometimes works depends on signal conditions

Thank you Jim I am so happy with Sony sometimes think how I will replace it one day when its dead . I can listen anything outside with this 120 cm telescopic antenna. Very good audio with this high quality speaker

I too found that the synch detection on made all the difference on the 2001D with RNZI on this frequency. 73 and GDX.

yes Jim sync makes differance when signal is not stable and weak when strong contrary makes noise
