How do you wire a separate trailer mode switch on a mercruiser since this control only has up and down? Is it blue wire spliced to a switch? My original throttle control had a trailer switch and this doesn't.

This is a vapid video. I have spent a day installing a B183 and I can assure you it is difficult. I still haven't figured out if the unit I bought can increase the throttle without engaging the shift. The installation manual shows pictures but the lacks the clear detail you need (specifically the description of the notch). I am installing the assembly for the third time now. They need a small table listing the features of each unit. I knew I didn't the power tilt but I do need the throttle in neutral.

Purple wire should be sliced with the purple wire in a two way splice…the first way is to the neutral switch, the second to the white wire to the tilt control, The third way goes down to the pump. Why is there a third way in the two way splice?

I came here looking for info on where to set outboard prior to install to allow for proper alignment. I left is straight and things worked out.

Problem I've found with Uflex is the availability of seal kits. I bought a kit and the cylinder leaks on one side once I installed it. I tried looking high and low for a seal kit for a UC94obf but can't find it but from another country. I'll certainly be calling about the leaking cylinder. If I can't find seal kits in the future it'll be looking for a company that provides parts for their products.

What control box is this you're connecting to? We can't find a control box to convert from side mount to top mount, even with the connection kit, it won't hold the barrel stoppers on the Gen 1 cables

All looks straight forward but you dont show how the pipes connect to the helm, I cannot work out how there are 2 connections on the helm but there are 4 pipes
