It's not first "upgrade" like this that I'm watching. To be honest, pattern looks nice, I like it, but as amp it looks ugly to me (stock looks better in each case I've seen). It is of course the matter of personal preferences. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean that stock is the best looking. It just feels like that after that swap amp isn't.. whole.

Just got this set of pickups. My only complaint is, that they are microphonic. Is that to be expected?

They are very microphonic and I ended up getting rid of them… I actually went back to the stock pickups, but bought new wiring and capacitors and everything in a kit from StewMac. That made a big difference! I’d recommend that as an upgrade if the microphonic is bothering you.

The problem with this plan is that the katanas have a very distinct cabinet shape and they are not obscure probably one of the most popular amps but it looks cool i have a white katana 100 mk 2 this would look so cool probably gunna try this mod
