Even though there was a sharp learning curve when I started Oud at age 18, it certainly has felt from the beginning that we were meant to be together. I am so glad you perceive that in my music! Aliya, how many hours do you practice a piece do you think before performing it or recording it?

Hi there! That's a very fun question. I would say, many many hours! In general, I will practice a piece as long as it takes to feel that I am free and uninhibited while playing it, so that during the performance I can focus not on myself but on God and on the people He has put in the audience to hopefully be touched by the musical experience! You are very welcome. As a singer who also loves to sing in other languages it's great to see others who hone their craft and language skills as well. Hello, do you know about galli gr 85 strings? La bella is almost twice as expensive here so I thought I'd buy Gallis but I'm not sure if they're as good.

hello! I am sorry to say I have no experience with this brand. You might consider Pyramid strings which I believe are cheaper, but the quality won't be the same as La Bella. Best of luck!
