It does look funny but if feels even funnier, those paddles are used to catch the strong current under the surface so you literally have to wait for it to catch and it’ll take you exactly where you wanna go, so it always feels like you’re gonna crash then your like “ope, never mind” 😂

Beautiful river...too bad your guides have filthy mouths, but I guess that's normal for young folks today, it's a lack of an intelligent vocabulary. Oh, your sweep boat guide is setting a bad example by not wearing his PFD. If I remember correctly, it's within FS requirements that they're worn all the time . I guess that's another typical attitude, to hell with authority...
