Usain is the very best. And I would say always will be, for as long as I live anyway. He tore the arse and bollocks off of all of them in sprints 100 and 200 metres. And he would of tore the arse and bollocks off of Carl Lewis in races aswell. Prime Usain v prime Carl in 100 or 200 metres world or Olympics. There is only 1 man that might of pressed Usain at his very best, And that's Michael Johnson in 200 m. Michael was 2nd greatest 200 m sprinter to Usain 1. Michael had a time of 19.32 in Atlanta 1996 200 m winning gold then. Usain getting 19.19. The 2011 world' championships where Usain was disqualified for 1 false start would of won that race. It used to be 3 false starts and out in the 1980,s. 1 false start be disqualified is very harsh. Pure accidentally done. Yohan Blake won that 100 m without Usain in that race after. But I really do think unfair to Usain. He would of won. He won the 200 m world's anyway in 2011.

Music was weak, NBC's was honestly better, they're still using the Titans Spirit theme which makes it more epic. I did like the Keely Hodgkinson close to this, but this was weak, use some actual orchestrated music next time.
@enterderpmode3934Ай бұрын
They were obviously going for a montage with a theme, about looking back at their roots into the successful Olympian that they are now. The song had the right blend of being touching but still have sections where you can put the epic moments. BBC wanted to be different and creative, and they nailed it. It doesn't have to be powerful and orchestrated all the time.
@retrowarehouse2554Ай бұрын
@@enterderpmode3934 I don't agree, they botched this one pretty hard, keep it simple next time and keep it epic, that's what the Olympics is really all about.

@@retrowarehouse2554 How can I be biased, I am a Filipino living in the Philippines. Not American nor British :) Personal opinion, NBC feels so much like a big network production, very much commercial. Very impersonal and bordering on generic. Please don't feel offended but it was meh (for me). The BBC went right straight to my heart and it felt like a rollercoaster of feelings. Also, the lyrics almost like prompting what I can see. It's a wave of emotions sucking me away from the shore LOL And I am not even British.

The most savage guy that day, was this one german who was asked the outcome in an Interview before the game, said they would win 7:1, the brazilian fan just laughed at him and said "7:1 for brazil, true". This is one of the things I love about both the Euros and the World Cup is that both BBC and ITV go to extraordinary lengths to put together some real masterpieces in terms of their intros for the given international football tournament and the country or nations staging the contest. The BBC's effort for France 2016 was no exception to the rule.

As a german I honestly have to say, while of course we hope that our team does well and makes many goals, at a certain point it's enough. 4 goals should've been the limit and afterwards they should've just concentrated on stopping brazils goals. It was merciless and in a way unnecessary
