I like how the enemy cavalry just melts when they make contact with the legionaries in the remastered however they won't budge even if flanked on all sides

Good battle You should also try out Rome total war remastered historical battles Literally they are so tough and also some battles I beat on the original in the first try but in the remastered version I am still unable to beat them like Battle of lake Trasimene

Remind me, Titus was a Captain in the Previous game yes? While it most certainly TOTALLY SUCKS, if I remember my Military Ranks correctly, Getting Demoted from Captain to Lieutenant isn't THAT bad when ya think about it. Hmmm, that Space Marine combat knife reminds me of a Bowie knife or something judging by the Tip. Although given its size its probably the size of a Roman Gladius. Meanwhile the Bayonets on the Guards Guns may as well be a Toothpick. Ya know.... odd as it might sound they should make a game like this but with the Mechanicus, the things you could do with Customization and Loadouts alone would be pretty Cool. After all, who doesn't want to play as a Leggio Cybernetica?

I remember when I played this battle for the first time. It was also my first historical battle, so I didn't know there is no placement time etc. Just after the start, i got surprised by the Teuton cannons that started to shoot, and when i tried to organize my troops, one of cannons hit my King, and I lost this battle, like, 10 seconds after it started, because Jagiełło cannot die to win xD

"We have done every game from Shogun to troy..... and we haven't had a diplomatic game" Well it _is_ Total War after all, but well... lets be honest that was more down to Total Wars Diplomacy more then anything else. It didn't really "get good" till 3Kingdoms and so on. Speaking of Diplomacy, hopefully one of these days they make having Vassels worthwhile. Like bring back the "admin" tax and let us give Vassels LAND via diplomacy. The best thing this game added was the Resource system, something that I hope stays in Total War. Its funny, its one of those things we don't really think about till it becomes a thing. Something other then Gold to worry about to add a little bit of depth, after all "worth its weight in gold" is saying for a reason. Anyway, certainly going to be a interesting contrast between Historical and Mythical.

Should have used some of the cannons to target their infantry before climbing the hill. Also when you'd broken through, you did a great job moving your cavalry up but should have charged the retreating units, if you catch them with some of them going through the gate, you'll capture the gate house and wont have to wait

I'll take things a step further. In the medieval period and Renaissance, it was pretty common for armies to include foreign soldiers in its ranks, whether by treaty (such as the Scots Guard), as foreign recruits (ref Byzantine Empire's Latinikoi), and mercenaries (Papal Guard, Swiss Pikemen, Landsknecht, and more). Between 1081 and 1204, the Varangian Guard - bodyguards of the Byzantine emperors, guards of the imperial treasury, and the elite shock troops of the Byzantine Army - saw a major change in its ranks. Originally consisting of Russians and Scandinavians, Emperor Alexios I received a massive exodus of Anglo-Saxon refugees from England fleeing Norman rule. In exchange for many of them joining the Varangian Guard, the Anglo-Saxons were gifted some land in the Crimea and allowed to settle a colony there (called New England). While cavalry would continue to dominate the battlefields of their era, these English Varangians acquitted themselves dutifully, covering the retreat for Dyrrachium in 1081 (which, tbf, they caused the Byzantine defeat in the first place) and Constantinople against the 4th Crusade. This version of the battle of Hastings seems more detailed and large scale compared to medieval 2 version Not saying the other one is bad but this one is better even though its doesnt look graphically appealing

My best experience in this game - enter .conan. and play as Rebels. Constant battles against whole world from turn 1.

I recommend to play on Normal difficulty. Starting from Hard, peasants can slaughter feudal man at arms, it's weird.

once you kill kutuzov and take redoubts, any unit on the left flank routs. that's how i won first time, was left astonished lol. sadly i haven't been able to win it in mp yet

Great video, I've yet to beat this battle. I was wondering why flags would come up instead of the unit formation when you made them move. Do you shift click for waypoints every time when ordering movement?

Thank you, I was doing so well and then troops got into my undefended territories, I started losing everything and rebellions sprung up literally everywhere. With this information I'm going to try another run

The Priest follower only affect the ennemy province public order. It's actually the beat follower to use on governors after the scribe I believe
