that mini F40 is the car of my dreams, i need it in my life

I can't see it really close, but it looks good from here. I have an 06 Scion with clear coat coming off. I've thought about rolling it with Rust-Oleum farm implement paint. The other day at Tractor Supply I saw they have gallons of clear coat too. Then I thought about lightly sanding & rolling on some clear coat. Not looking for a perfect job, just want to improve the looks of the car. Even body shops often don't do perfect jobs either & charge a lot of money.

Yep I use the same compound after wet sanding, very easy to use and it works well by hand.

Have you had any problems at this point? No tune needed for the car to drive smoothly & to avoid check engine light? Thinking about getting this setup. Also beautiful vette!

I've done some really nice rattle can paint jobs. a friend and i painted a Datsun red and wet sanded it and just put a ton of work into it and that paint job turned out ridiculously good. Ive done a few cars with rattle cans. I feel like modern spray paint kinda sucks though its really difficult to get a durable finish. The 2k cans are really neat I've done some awesome jobs with those. It seems like years ago I got a more durable finish out of a rattle can, its probably something to do with chemicals and regulations like with paint stripper I miss good paint stripper like jasco. I did order a color match can of paint on ebay somewhat recently that was not 2k and was very good paint i was surprised, that can was a blank can with a home printed label obviously they mixed it up themselves but its the first one ive seen that was not 2k meaning it didn't have the button on the bottom to release hardener. I tried getting more of that paint since it was cheap too but the seller kinda disappeared. Anyways rattle can paint jobs are pretty fun and with good prep and conditions it can actually turn out really nice plus touch ups are easy. Ive been trying to find a reasonably priced like under 15 or 20 dollars per can durable black spray paint lately ive tried a bunch with no luck. 2k cans are like 30-40 a can now and steel-it rattle can paint is pretty good but I dont like the black its not black enough.

How many coats did you apply and how many cans did you use ?

You should have done a 4rth and 5th coat. Allowing the 4rth coat to really tac up and put the 5th coat on very thick and using a light to reflect the gloss stream. You will not need to wet sand if you control the wet stream better on the very thick 5th coat. That's with a can or spray gun. First coat should have been thicker, and always start at arms reach and come to you.
