Hi.. You need to first isolate the patients centric relation position by deprogramming(using either kois or lucia jig) Once its repeatable and reproducible, Scan the patients occlusion with the deprogrammer inside the patient’s mouth. While scanning the centric position, the patient’s head should be reclined .

The mixed material must be used with 2 weeks from mixing.. basically, use it as a single use only!

You can also use a Wamkey. Works about 80% of the time. Cut a small slot with a diamond / metal cutting bur, put in the Wamkey, and the crown comes off intact. I always try it first, and if it doesn't work, then I'll use the method shown in the video.

Hi.. yes you can but im not a very big fan of it. The drilling of a hole more of than not creates micro cracks making the crown more fragile. Its also a relatively blind technique. Besides, in a vast majority of cases , the need for removal of an old crown arises due to failure of the coronal seal and subsequent endodontic involvement , thereby making replacement of the crown with a new one crucial.

Hi Phil. Thanks Having done most of my scanning work with 3shape over the years, I don’t see a reason to move. However, primescan is a great scanner as well, though on the more expensive side. It also has a seamless chairside workflow which is a game changer.Really depends on what you are looking for.
