You might have showed how you managed to keep the injectors in the heads? Mine came with the rail and I'm having a hard time pushing them back down to get the rail out!
@SchnebsGarage4 күн бұрын
Yea thats a hit or miss scenario unfortunately, yer dealing with Orings that'll either stick in the rail or not. There's little to no room so the only thing you can do it pry em with a screwdriver and wiggle them. Good Luck.

This was extremely helpful. Thank you for posting this. I’ve been piecing together a basket case and the factory manual never identifies the steel sleeve on the right crankshaft output that goes under the primary drive gear. Another great YZ85 bottom end video never mentions it either (but covers a lot of other stuff). It’s not there in one frame then magically appears before being covered up by the gear. So I am A 57-year-old woman grew up on dirt bikes, and I have a Yamaha Enduro on off-road. I’m trying to fix this without getting my brother involved.
@SchnebsGarageАй бұрын
Bolts are 7-11 ft lbs of torque, you'd measure that with a torque wrench. Its not a lot and is real easy to overtighten and break something as most of the threads in there are just into aluminum.

What were the symptoms of the faulty coupler? I have a specific problem that I was assuming was the Viscous coupler and have found one locally that I might purchase, but given the symptoms that people are speaking of in the comments, it might not be the coupler. When I accelerate in my 2012 3.5l se, my rear end will thump all the way to high speeds. It only happens at slow to regular acceleration, between the 0-2,500 rpm range. If I accelerate quickly there are no thumps. Happens more when warm. No binding or noises when turning. If I let off the gas at high way speeds and put the gas back on. It goes away. Would you be willing to provide some input since you've worked on these and may have an answer as to what I can look at for the cause of this problem?
@SchnebsGarage2 ай бұрын
In the case of this car the main complaint was during acceleration it would lunge as the power was trying to go to the rear wheels then slip and change back to the front wheels.
@dknowbeatz36652 ай бұрын
@SchnebsGarage OK. It's possible mine could be a joint or bearing for the drive shaft. If I had to guess, for some reason, it feels more on the right side. It's weird that it only happens at certain speeds and will thump more as I approach higher speed. Sometimes, it happens more than other times, too. Even when going perfectly straight.
@SchnebsGarage2 ай бұрын
@@dknowbeatz3665 Did you check your CV axle? It sounds almost like a CV going but not exactly, they usually make a clicking sound at low speeds but get quiet at higher speed. Just a thought.

Seems to be the coupler... same issue here, I just take off the driveshaft and no more issue or unplug the wire to the coupler no more issue (but error code)...
@dknowbeatz3665Ай бұрын
@brduj I took my drive shaft off over a few weeks ago, and it went away. The u-joints were bad, and I haven't gotten around to getting a replacement shaft yet. Figured I would replace that first before a coupler. If the u-joints would've been fine, I would've assumed coupler right away.
