Great video! Just got the lines. Quick question, how did you get the nylon vapor line out from the retaining clip on backside of the block. You pulled it out without the metal line attached. Thanks in advance!
@SchnebsGarage3 күн бұрын
Youre talking about the line at about 7:00 in the video I think. I just broke / cut the steel line a foot past the connection. Reached up with a long straight screwdriver and twisted the retainer and it popped off, couldnt really show it as there was just no way to get a camera in there and do it at the same time. Fact is that retainer is useless because the new braided lines are thicker and wont go into the old retainer anyway.

I just purchased a used 2018 Hyundai, it only came with one key-fob. I just received an identical one from Amazon. In your video you actually inserted a key to start your engine. My car only needs me to have my key-fob near or in my pocket and starts by just pushing a button. Is there a video that shows me how to program my new key-fob, like the one I have?
@SchnebsGarage4 күн бұрын
Depends on the fob but a 2018 may be a dealer thing, locksmith or if your lucky find a shop that can program em.

My spokes are rubbing the back of the caliper on the rear. Are my brake pads too thick?
@SchnebsGarage17 күн бұрын
I highly doubt thats the problem. New pads are pretty thick and I have lots of room to the spokes. Did you take off the wheel? If so you may have the wheel spacers in backwards, left and right side are different size if memory serves.
@MrDogtown2217 күн бұрын
@SchnebsGarage no the spacers are the same size. I've had some new wheels made amd the spokes rub the caliper. On my original wheel the spokes don't rub the caliper but they are very close to it. How big is the gap on yours when the rear spokes pass the caliper?

Sure thing. The actual ignition switch is located further down the steering column. It connects to the key switch via a steel rod. either of those could be the problem.

Thank you so much for this clip ! After a short test drive I have seen an oil leak under the quad (ac 400), I found that the axle is separate to the diff, what is the problem? It was flush with the diff I knocked it in tight and also I heard a click ( c ring expansion?) but now the axle is complete loose. I pulled hard on the axle no movement, after 1 mile loose grinding in the diff hole. Is it a problem with the c clip? Or what? Could you or somebody help me.
@SchnebsGarageАй бұрын
Were you beating on the old axle to get it out much? If so its possible there's a small piece of steel or dirt left behind in the differential that is preventing the new axle from going in all the way.

This was extremely helpful. Thank you for posting this. I’ve been piecing together a basket case and the factory manual never identifies the steel sleeve on the right crankshaft output that goes under the primary drive gear. Another great YZ85 bottom end video never mentions it either (but covers a lot of other stuff). It’s not there in one frame then magically appears before being covered up by the gear. Anyway you made me feel good about my build. Thanks again!
