Slam vents are easily doable without removing the bumper

Thank you for this video. Another success. My Yamaha DGX-640 behaved just like on this video. Everything powered up but no sound from speakers or headphones. I took the keyboard apart and tested the capacitors on the amp board with my Cap /ESR meter. All of the caps measured good except for C207. It measured as a dead short. I replaced it with a 100uf 50v instead of a 16v just in case the ripple voltage going to the cap was higher than the designers expected. Piano is working like new again!

I found using a water pump plier to gently move the paddle was the only way to do it. It only needs to be turned about half an inch anti-clockwise (towards the passenger panel) to be loose enough to pull out.

Good video mate didn't miss anything and very informative. Am I right in thinking you can also fill the gearbox until it comes out of fill hole ? As long as it's on level ground obviously

Great vid, very informative! I have a similar model, 93 br-k. One question… where did you find the torque specs?? I can’t find any data for the pre-85 models in the Haynes? And the specs that are given for the 85 on models don’t include info for the flywheel nut for the br-k…

Hi there, I replaced my coolant container as you did but the new screw on cap doesn’t seem to snap on as tight as the original. It seems a bit loose. Is yours the same? I tried using the other lid but it seems to be the container itself.

Why did you put the black parts back? Isn't that why water accumulates in the trunk? I think it would be more logical to remove them completely.

Mine split. Burned through loads of cash doing diagnostics as to why the air con was freezing. Thought thermostat had jammed open initially. Discovered All the silica blocked the full heating matrix so had to replace all that and rip the full dash out. All because of some shit bag making coolant last a bit longer lol.

Another KZbin channel (Steve's small engine saloon) recommends slightly enlarging the main jet to make it less likely to be blocked by dirt. His video is worth a watch. Cheers from Canada.

Excellent thorough video. For an emergency fix especially if you need to travel to a different city on a motorway. I’ve had this type of repair done on most of my cars and never given me a problem be it driving on busy A roads or motorways but it wasn’t on the side nor shoulder of any tyre.

“It is also worth noting that if you mix the G2 Evo coolant with any of the predecessor listed here and the coolant becomes brown this is normal and it doesn’t require you to drain the system and refill it” !!! THANK YOU !!! In 2018 my 2013 Golf Mk7 had a blocked heat exchanger from silica bag splitting. It cost hundreds to put right including a new heater matrix. This week i found out my replacement expansion tank also had the silca bag and my collant has gone brown. I was expecting another massive bill. Perhaps the brown collant is just a mix of evo+ from it's last service and my silica bag hasn't split. New bottle arriving later today so i can investigate. I think you may have just saved me ~ £1000 based on what work my gariage wanted me to aurthosise last week.

Great informative video as i had no idea how to do this before. Drivers side was easy but passengers side was a pain in the a** with how little room there was to maneuver. Managed to do it in about 10 mins so pretty happy 🫡

Q: Do you not bleed the air out of the expansion tank?
@TurnersWorkshop9717 күн бұрын
Yes you can bleed air out the expansion vessel if the pressure is too high. It’s likely you will need to top it up though as shown in the video
@Mark-gg6iy17 күн бұрын
@@TurnersWorkshop97 I am not understanding the set-up or design. When setting the system up for operation do you bleed air out of the expansion tank to operate normally? If yes, how much? If the expansion tank is full of fluid it does not operate as an expansion tank it's just more confined fluid.
@TurnersWorkshop9717 күн бұрын
@ the expansion tank has a rubber diaphragm inside, so as the system heats up it allows extra space for expansion. Its pre-set pressure is on the label. Without an expansion vessel the system will likely over pressurise when hot.
@Mark-gg6iy17 күн бұрын
@@TurnersWorkshop97 OK, understood now, somewhat similar to a hydraulic accumulator.

3:39 Min.: I own a Golf 2,0 TDI from 11/13 and this already has a timing belt intervall of 210.000 km (130.000 miles) with no time maximum. Therefore your tip to change the coolant every time you change the timing belt (every 4 years or 60.000 miles) is really outdated. 🤨

Same vent issue on my VW golf sportsvan. Right side last year now I got the problem with the left. I got sunroof aswell, the drain pipe goes into those rubber grommets u popped out. Headliner stained because it was clogged. The grommet from the badge drain pipe was cut off by VW when I had them clean the drains 🤷
