I have been using a potato masher as an agitator. One thing that most people don't realize is that yes, you need to violently agitate the clothes if you want to wash them quickly. But just like food stuck on dishes which is hard to get off if dried on but comes off easily if soaked for a bit, I let my clothes sit in the soapy water for a few hours. So I just need to stir them occasionally. I find drying the clothes (minus an electric dryer) a bigger problem than washing. I got a dish drainer to sit in bottom of my bathtub so some of the water can drip off. I used to hand-wring them but then read a roller-type wringer is 5x more effective. Amazon sells one for ~$150 !!! So I thought of using a rolling pin on a hard surface like a cutting board. But a rolling pin requires two hands. Then I thought of a paint roller but better yet (it allows more pressure), an ink roller.

I was pricing wash boards while watching this. They start around $20, I ordered an accordian toilet plunger for $12/ Terrific idea.

You can’t get them, but they can get on you and make you itch. A shower will kill them and get them off. Lol

I think the reason there are so many changes are because they use samples of people known to be from these areas to compare to provide the estimates. As they get more people or identify where analytically they could separate or make changes, they do so. Mine changed a lot this time!! Also, I would not use ethnicity to figure out your grandparents lineage. Use the shared matches to do this. I would recommend the Leeds method as a starting point to help you identify clusters of the dna matches that link to each of your grandparents and then work from there with genealogy research as validation. Also if your parents are alive and willing to be tested, their dna will have a lot more matches than yours because you only inherit approximately 1/2 your dna from each parents.

I live in some apartments and it has its own washroom but lately when I wash my clothes they come out smelling sour or they just look dirty so I have resorted back to hand wash which I've been looking at you too and I found some good advice and my clothes come out fresh and clean but you know I love Downy so I use Downy. I just hang them on a hanger in a bathtub and they usually dry and you know and it's I haven't had a smell of mildew or spoilage..... I'll probably keep doing it until I just get tired of it

I am asking this in a loving way. Why aren’t homesteaders taking their babies to a vet for this procedure where the vets give an anesthetic before and pain relief after? How do you know this doesn’t hurt them that much? They are screaming in pain and look like they are going into shock.

My English&Northwestern European Said That It Was Most From England& The Channel Islands,and I Know That The Channel Islands Are Located Between England,and France!!😎
I’d like to comment even though this is years later, Our Australian shepherd was 4 when she was diagnosed with Addison’s disease. Her name is also Sadie , clear similarities with your story and our situation as well, hair turned grey, loss of mood and energy, puking, panting, clearly dying. nobody will truly understand unless they have experienced it for themselves how scary, stressful, and mind sickening this disease can be. We had spent 13,000$ on tests while she layed on a gourney hooked to an Iv for about a week, finally the veterinarian office had told us the only thing keeping her alive was the Iv and they recommend having someone come tonight to have her put down. Mind you she is 4 years old. This made my father very angry and upset because we had poured our heart and savings into her and after all of it they had nothing. We decided then to take her off the IV bring her home and let her pass with the rest of her family. This was one of the hardest moments of my life. I still get a ball in my throat typing it. After we had brought her home we decided we would continue to fight for her and seek more treatment if she had survived the night , she did. And on our way to another vet center in the state the one who had taken way to long to figure out her issue came back to tell us she has Addison disease, we then rushed her back to start treatment. She is 6 today , she has gained a little weight (due to steroids) but she is happy and much healthier and expected to live a full loved life

I have a pair of a hen and rooster,hen laid 8 eggs ,this was their first egg laying,but i have left them in the barn,and chicken sits on them,but still after more than 25 days,no chicks appeared..what may be wrong?

The first 3weeks as the hen start laying,it layers infertile eggs.
@tearsmochau70194 ай бұрын
Interesting facts of chicken egg fertility that you may not know. 🪶 It is possible to have a rooster and a hen that are active but a hen can still lay eggs that are not fertile: I know you may be wondering how, and here is the explanation. Unlike other birds where you find partners, in chickens there is no courtship or romance. A rooster just forces himself on the hen. So what happens is when a rooster mates a hen, his injected semen is stored in numerous sperm storage tubules (SSTs) located in the area where the hen’s uterus joins the vagina. But this only happens provided the hen likes the rooster. If she doesn’t, she can squirt out the semen to avoid hatching his offspring. Therefore a hen may still proceed to lay eggs that are not fertile despite even mating with a rooster every day. 🪶 Even if the hen approves the rooster, some eggs may still not be fertile: Since the sperm is released shortly after an egg is laid, and each egg takes approximately 25 hours to develop, an egg produced on the day of mating will not be fertile. An egg laid the next day may or may not be fertile, depending on the timing. An egg laid on the third day definitely should be fertile. So as you can see your hen can still have the first two or three eggs that are not fertile despite the hen and a rooster having mated. 🪶 You don't need a rooster everyday for the hen to continue laying fertile eggs: The amount of time during which the hen will continue to lay fertile eggs depends on how much sperm fills the SSTs, which are capable of storing semen from multiple matings and multiple roosters. Highly productive hens generally remain fertile longer than hens that lay at a slower rate. The average duration of fertility from a single mating is 10 to 14 days. So it is possible that once your hen has mated with a rooster you can even take the rooster away and you can still have fertile eggs for the next 14 days. 🪶 For first time layers if a rooster has mated with a hen, all her eggs are not always fertile: Generally speaking, a hen who has mated will be fertile between 7 and 10 days after. It takes that long for the sperm to reach the oviduct where eggs are made. So it is possible that after mating, your hen can still continue to lay eggs that are not fertile for the next 10 days. This is why it is encouraged that for hens that are laying for the first time it is better to eat the eggs for the first two or three weeks instead of attempting to hatch them. 🪶 Not all roosters have fertile sperm: This is a sad one. Just like in humans, even in chickens we also have roosters that are infertile. Why? Who knows. It's maybe just something in his genes not working as it should. Again, very like the human condition. There's not always a rhyme or reason. NB- This article has been compiled to help people understand why at time they may hear those who provide hatchery services referring to their eggs not having been fertile. We know some have been wondering why the eggs are said not to be fertile yet they have the recommended number of hens and roosters that are also active for that matter. While the article has been compiled from various sources that we believe to be credible, it is only for general information. For specifics relating to one's flock we still recommend that farmers use the services of professionals. NB/ copied article
