Hi Andrei , it was good to watch your video but there is no phpadmin in this case , how can you enter to the database to use which ip or way ? if you set up bedrock+php admin+mysql together on digital ocean server , may it be best way for architecture ?
@AndreiBrindas
@AndreiBrindas Жыл бұрын
Yes, Cloudways doesn't have a PhpMyAdmin interface. They have something different, more simplistic. They try to take care of almost everything. And this may work for you if you don't mind giving up control over your hosting environment. But if you love to tinker with it, then you can go directly on Digital Ocean

Hey, This is definitely excellent. I wonder if there isn't an easier way, maybe using Softaculous to install WordPress. For one little thing, it creates the .htaccess...as well as the wp-config with the correct database credentials to the database Softaculous creates.
@AndreiBrindas
@AndreiBrindas Жыл бұрын
Hey Ken, as far as I know, Softaculous doesn't support bedrock, but I might be wrong. Didn't get the chance to check. They only do regular WP installs

Thanks for sharing . Is selling Wordpress plugin realistic for the average person ? Or is it low probability like building a mobile app game ?
@AndreiBrindas

Hey, building and selling a WP plugin is way easier than a mobile app game. But still, you need to market it in order to get customers

With headless WP you would need to use SSR (server side rendering) on the framework (like Next JS), this way you can get the Yoast SEO (for example) data, and embed it in the frontend code

Hmm. I agree that competition for react developers is insane right now. That being said, I don’t know if learning an entire platform would be a better use of my time than simply building more advanced applications with React for example.
@AndreiBrindas
@AndreiBrindas 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Justin, I see what you mean. My idea is that if you are just starting out if you go for a React job straight out of the gate, you are competing with literally everyone who took a course on Udemy on React. If you try to learn to build more advanced apps, it'll take you a lot more time to do that, and then you will still compete with advanced React developers who already have 2 or 3 years (or more, or less) job experience. So, if you want to go for your first job, it's easier in a platform environment, in my opinion. Case in point: my last boss tried to hire a WordPress developer that actually knows how to work with WordPress and it took about 3 months to find someone decent. Anyway, in your case, if you want to go for React, by all means, do it. If you really like working with React you'll have a way easier time than someone learning React just because everyone says that React is the way to go.

@@AndreiBrindas I’m currently trying to get my first job and I have been using react for about 2 years. So I completely understand what you mean. I’d probably already have a job if I started off with Wordpress development. But alas I didn’t take that route. I’m trying to stick with the skills I have and continue to improve them so I can be better than the majority. I feel that will give me the best chance to get hired.

How much time it take to become full stack WordPress developer. I already familiar with WordPress from the past 2 years and have good understanding of HTML CSS and Basic JavaScript. Looking forward for your Response. Thanks
@AndreiBrindas
@AndreiBrindas 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Haris, this is hard to answer, but I'll share my experience. For me it took about 1 year or 1.5 years to get really familiar and be comfortable building WordPress websites with custom CSS and all the advanced custom WordPress stuff, like Custom Post Types, custom fields and so on. So, I would say that it takes 1-2 years to become comfortable with working full-stack with WordPress, and then it always gets better
