Thanks for stopping by. Yes we all know planting it in the ground is a better option. This is just an experiment, trying different ways to do things. If someone doesn't have the space or time to "stick it in the ground" They can try this and see if it works for them. Plus it's fun to watch the roots grow until we need to stick them in the ground.... (I'm responding based on the google translation of your comment)

@@freddydon6120 I was lucky, turns out they are self-pollinating so no male buds. All the female buds are growing into some nice cucumbers. Give it time. The male buds will come. Some balanced fertilizer may help.

how do get seeds from a carrot to grow on ?? surely fruit & veg that naturally has their own seeds you can grow on ??

If you leave the carrot in the ground to get old, it will eventually bolt and produce a flower with seeds inside. Once the flower dries you harvest the seeds.
