There's a great example of using biogas to generate energy for a wastewater treatment plant at the Encina Water Pollution Control Center. I'm sure they've already looked at it. Around 80% of the plant's energy comes from biogas they capture on site.

How will the citizens know if the City of Oceanside will(not) prioritize retail development projects over residential? If the city will approve predominantly retail development projects, supply of housing will be non-existent so is affordable housing.

Not nearly enough discussion on housing and economic development. Unfortunately neither candidate seems to understand that residents are the most important asset when it comes to development. We need more citizen developers, not huge outside corporations building massive projects for maximum profit. We need to remember the art of growing local. And this can only be done by allowing more flexibility in zoning and housing options and eliminating parking mandates. If an older retiree wants to turn their single family home into a duplex and make some extra income from renting the other unit they should easily be able to do so. If someone wants to run a small home based business on the bottom floor of their house they should be allowed to, while creating a new hub for the neighborhood that actually connects people. We want a vibrant Main Street economy and walkable neighborhoods all throughout our city
