An excellent video, Sir. Thank you! I am not a birb owner, for various reasons, but i do enjoy watching videos like this one. In Florida, where I live on the Space Coast, we have several species of birbs which live here most of the year; they generally fly south around November, then we see them again usually around mid- to late-March. Our regular residents include: boat-tailed grackle; northern mockingbird; raven; scrub jay; seagull (2 or 3 different species); brown pelican; white egret; snowy egret; ibis; cardinal; sandhill crane; great blue heron; osprey; bald eagle; several species of hawk; and various songbirds. We also see lots of migratory birbs here; some winter here, while others rest here then continue south or north. Sorry for being so long fingered! Just wanted to share the many different kinds of wild birbs we have here. 🙂

I have had my budgies for years and I allow them to fly around my room, they have plenty of toys, the best food supply, clean water every day and they are still scared of me. I don't get it. Maybe because I let them out of their cage before I tamed them, so now they are just going to be scared of me forever. One of them I have had for 7 years, and she is still scared of me. If they have not had millet in a few weeks 2 of them will eat it out of my hand but the other two are just scared. They fly away when I fill their food bowls or clean. I don't get it. You would think after years of seeing me, living with me, and watching me fill their food bowls and water bowls and clean their cage, put up toys for them they would understand that I am their caregiver. I just let them do what they want now. I work and go to school, so I do not have a lot of time to tame them and I do not have the heart to force them back into their cage. What can I do?
