It worked for me with Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Lately I had the same issue with Hitman 3 (x360ce rings when i launch the game but not working in the game), and i tried to do the same fix but when i go to regedit/HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Io interactive/Hitman3/input i find no option like EnableWindowsGamingInput.. do you have any suggestion to fix that?
