that's the most incredible entrance i've seen on a chat show an early appearance of Mr Bean around 6.00 and a lovely little snippet of Des O'Connor's early life. I always assumed he came from a variety background

I not only love Roland Rat...I loved the clear, catchy, brief adverts back in the 80's! No depressing charity ads, cremation or life insurance BS! God I miss those days!!!

That short version of the LWT logo at the end of the clip had only the very occasional airing beyond the London area, but I saw it a couple of times at the start of network LWT programmes in late 1986 and 1987 when they played it out live to take the place of the 'river ident' already on the play-out tapes.

There seemed to be lots of those "young adult" programmes around at that time. But I think Nosin' Around owes a lot more to programmes like "Something Else".
